how to: golden slumber !! a genshin 🧵

HOW TO UNLOCK:

☐talk to bonifaz in aaru village to begin the golden slumber questline

follow the footprints and search for the archaeology team (or just glide down like i did)

talk to the three people at the bottom of the pit- jebrael, tirzad, and nachtigal

talk to the fourth person, known as jeht

meet the others with jeht

go with tirzad to the ruins & explore the corridor

investigate the ruins & use anemo to clear the sand away from the mechanism which opens the door

continue exploring and open the second door

explore for a while until you hit a dead end-
activate the platform found on the top right corner of the room to access the lower level

in the room below, there will be a tri-yana seed- attack it near the hidden torch to stabilize it

once lighting all of the torches, you unlock the chest and the ability to progress further

follow the seelie and pick up the item near it before joining the others in the larger room next to it

continue investigating the ruins (rip tirzad)

a platform will transport you to a room in which you will find “a strange machine?

report your findings to jebrael which will trigger dialogue & will prompt you to talk to tirzad

talk to jeht before continuing the exploration and opening the door

pick up the mysterious replicator keystones and step on the platforms to activate them- the first is shown below

make sure to not miss the remarkable chest<3

rotate the cell left from the mysterious replicator keystones to unlock the mechanism to open the door

defeat the opponents behind the gate

after entering the room and defeating the opponents, open the door

follow the path

follow the direction of the wind to lead you to the exit, completing the lost in the sands quest

go to the oasis to camp there with the archaeological team- the start of "an introduction to indoor archaeology"

look for jebrael before returning to the campsite

tell everyone about your adventures in mondstadt before going to khemenu temple

once at khemenu temple, open the door to the ruins

on either side of the room will be doors- 2 in total, which will lead you to primal embers used to open the main door to lead you deeper into the ruins

proceed to the next room and activate the elevator with primal embers, which can be accessed through unlocking two rooms

both rooms require four-leaf sigils to reach the primal embers- the right room will require you to activate the primal sandglass in order to access them

the primal sandglass challenge: use four-leaf sigils to reach the other sandglasses in order to complete the challenge

upon activating the elevator, go examine the mural & enter the secret passage found behind it

go to king deshret's mausoleum & defeat the primal constructs

continue exploring to the main room

obtain all four primal embers for the coffin- steps are listed below

PRIMAL EMBER #1:

from the entrance of the main room, take the right path

go through the far left corridor (by the trap mechanism) in which you will activate time puzzles (not required to complete)

the next room will have a seelie- follow it to the primal ember

PRIMAL EMBER #2:

from the entrance of the main room, take the right path

go inside the right corridor (by the trap mechanism) and open the door w/ the blue book

immediately to the right of the corridor will be a path w/ a dendroculus and a primal ember

PRIMAL EMBER #3:

from the entrance of the main room, take the left path

go inside the right corridor and enter the first path you see on your right side- a wind current will bring you to the third primal ember

PRIMAL EMBER #4:

from the entrance of the main room, take the left path

go inside the right corridor and enter the far left corridor- the left side of the room will contain a mural which will be directly below a dendroculus and the fourth (and final) primal ember

this will open the coffin (as shown below)

reach the upper floor through activating an elevator.

you will see a corridor to your right. go in the corridor and up the staircase to reach the highest floor of the mausoleum & to receive clearance level 1 for the everlight cell puzzles

find the members of the archaeological team & defeat the fatui

proceed deeper into the ruins and look for benben

go to the fatui camp to search for clues- defeat samail and rescue benben

proceed deeper within the ruins & investigate the room (will require 2 primal embers to unlock)

return to the oasis and defeat the eremites

talk to nachtigal and go to the next oasis where you will talk to jebrael and tirzad

meet up with the team in khaj-nisut

visit the nearby eremite camp to "talk to them"

talk to jeht and the others before searching the camp for clues- once found, report back to jebrael

pass the three trials- steps are listed below

TRIAL #1:

operate the plinth of the secret rites (blue book) to open up a pathway. collect the primal light & use it in the next room along with a second primal light.

touch the obscuring cell to open up the wall- defeat the primal construct in the next room.

collect the primal light & use it on the platforms- the verity cell can be used to open the wall and the door to the next room. fall down the hole and defeat the primal construct.

keystone #1:

collect from a chest found in the room behind a plinth of the secret rites (use it on the door near the wind current).

keystone #2:

can be obtained in the room behind the door near the wind currents- use primal lights on the platforms & the verity cell to open the wall. go past the plinth of the secret rites (from the previous step) to use k2.

use the primal lights on the platforms and the verity cell to open the wall- operate the plinth of the secret rites in the middle of the room in order to complete the trial.

TRIAL #2:

operate the plinth of the secret rites- head down and defeat the primal constructs in this floor and the next. operate the plinth of the secret rites to complete the trial.

TRIAL #3:

operate the plinth of the secret rites- go down the hole and through the maze. operate the plinth of the secret rites to complete the trial.

find the way to khaj-nisut

enter khaj-nisut and explore the lower floor

activate the mechanism in the center of the hall- use primal embers to unlock the plinth(s) of the secret rites found around the room

operate prism of khaj-nisut and try to reach khaj-nisut’s upper floor

puzzle solution: operate, switch, operate, operate

use the four-leaf sigil to activate an elevator switch- defeat the opponents before continuing to the second elevator to continue exploring

approach the throne

defeat samail and his fucktoys

to escape from khaj-nisut, glide down the opening, turn left, and then right before heading to the back door

return to aaru village
