I am asking all of my followers to RT this thread so as many people as possible know the truth about the Royal Mail Group strikes and how our members are facing a vicious attack #StandByYourPost
Royal Mail Group are telling the media they have made a genuine offer of ACAS talks. This is a lie. On the same day they offered this they withdrew from every major agreement we have with them. This is a media stunt #StandByYourPost
Royal Mail Group say they are losing £1m a day. They don’t say just months ago they made £758m profit, gave £400m to shareholders and the CEOs and Financial Officers took millions in bonuses #StandByYourPost
Royal Mail Group say the union is against modernisation. This is a lie. We have made dozens of agreements on change. This isn’t about modernisation. It’s about a race to the bottom and destroying our members terms and conditions #StandByYourPost
Royal Mail Group said in the talks with CWU yesterday that there was ‘more money on the table I’m exchange for more change’. When asked how much more money and what the change was, they could not answer. This is not a company serious about working with us #StandByYourPost
Royal Mail Group say strikes risk the future of the company. The only thing that risks the future of the company is the CEO and Board who are hell bent on ripping up our members terms and conditions and destroying a 500 year old service #StandByYourPost

Thread. We’ve reached the point where this government are openly taking the piss out of people. Apparently Johnson thinks this series of events can be described as a ‘success’....
This is an urgent update for postal members following today's meeting with Royal Mail's senior management team. The CEO, Rico Back, chose not to attend the meeting. The following thread summarises the current position:
Despite the increasing pressure on our members through growing sick absence/self-isolation, the company do not believe we need to alter national service standards to move to an emergency network. Royal Mail will not cease the delivery of D2D/advertising mail.
Royal Mail will not change their sick absence process which is punishing innocent CWU members, many of whom have suffered major illness recently.
Despite the fact that our members have overwhelmingly voted for industrial action for the third time, our union recognises that the growing public health crisis is changing the language of priorities for our members and the country... [THREAD] mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
We recognise that our members provide the only service that connects every address in this country via Royal Mail Group’s universal service – something our dispute is seeking to protect.
Now, as the Coronavirus crisis deepens, the need for the union and the company to work together is of paramount importance, and so we have made a proposal to the company based on putting the national interest first.
*THREAD* I’ve been giving some thought to who should want to vote Tory. It took me bloody ages but please stick with this thread because I found out in the end.....
So you are left wing and thinking of voting Lib-Dem or change UK tomorrow?
You are endorsing some of the most vicious anti-worker, anti-union, pro-austerity, pro-privatisation politicians out there 👇
You are endorsing the Lib-Dems with a leader who undersold Royal Mail to city speculators with Vince Cable discribing £1bn profit to speculators as ‘froth’ - that should have paid for nurses, teachers and police google.co.uk/amp/s/labourli…
You are endorsing the Lib-Dems with a leader who was forced to apologise for labelling gay sex as ‘not a sin’ google.co.uk/amp/s/www.stan…
