1. Eunice was 16 when John met her fetching water for her parents. He was then 19 years and had just completed SHS. They didn't meet again until she turned 21 and he 24. He'd gone to see his friends off at the airport and stopped by a shell shop to refuel his car.
2. He remembered her because of a birthmark on her forehead and confirmed if it was her. She told him of her struggles to pay her fees since her parents couldn't afford her fees. The fact that at her age she didn't have a phone even moved him to buy her a brand new #Samsung
3. The following day. This led to a beautiful relationship and he went to see her parents to introduce himself as her friend. He helped her rewrite some WASSCE papers by not just paying for the exams but paying for a private tutor for her.

Whiles waiting for her results
4. She became scared that she might not do well in her exams and begged him to open a shop for her. He bought a container for her and paid for her cosmetology fees where she opened a nail salon. Thankfully her results came and she did passably well.
5. She wanted to go into nursing and he paid for her fees throughout and every bill was on him. They'd agreed on no sex before marriage but after 3 years he'd waited long enough. The day they had sex, she cried and he promised not to coerce her into having sex against her will
6. She finished school and it was during her rotation that she met a doctor. She fell in love with him but didn't know how to tell John. He realised she wasn't giving him the necessary attention like she used to.

He asked her but she always gave him excuses until the day
7. He went to visit her unannounced and met a guy eating fufu and wearing boxers whiles Eunice was in the kitchen washing dishes. He confronted her and she shakily told him the man was a doctor and just a friend. The man wore his clothes and left

John tried to forgive her but...
8. When she brought her parents to beg him he didn't want to listen, thinking of all that he'd done for her

After a lot of pressure, he gave her another chance but his heart was not in it and she wasn't being open. He dug deeper and found out she was still in touch with the...
9. ...doctor. He broke up with her and told her to do what pleases her.

A year later, she called him out of the blue and told him not to get mad, she was getting married and wanted to invite him. Her groom? The same doctor.

John was seething in anger so much that he went to...
10. ...her house at dawn and standing at the gate, insulted her for all her neighbors to hear. A dawn preacher who always came around at that time was the one that calmed him down and convinced him to get into his car.

The soft spoken woman asked him why he was doing all that...
11. ...and he told her of all the pain his ex girlfriend had put him through only to call him a year later that she's getting married to the same man she cheated on him with.

Preacher: so this is the woman you wanted to marry? Someone capable of cheating on you?
12. I would have thought you'd be in church by now, thanking God for removing this yoke from your neck?"

John was speechless as these few words hit his guts.

Without another word, the preacher grabbed her megaphone and Bible and exited his car.

John drove off deep in thought
13. He didn't attend the wedding but sent her some money. When she called to thank him, he accepted it but kept their conversation short.

4 years later, he met her at a mall and she was holding the hand of a 3yo and carrying a baby in her arms. She introduced him to her...
14. ...3 year old as 'mum's good friend.' He smiled but his heart wasn't in it. He was mad. Why did she look so happy and content? He expected her to look sad and dejected but here she was proudly telling him of her husband's achievements and asking if she could pay for anything
14. ...he ordered. He declined and left, seething in anger.

He went to a pub to get drunk and that's where he met Asantewaa. She'd just arrived in Ghana from Germany but her brother had left Kumasi late and so she was waiting for him to arrive. They struck a conversation
15. ...and realized they had like interests. He'd tried dating after Eunice but hadn't taken any of the ladies seriously for fear of being treated the way she did. But with Asantewaa, things were different

She had her own things going for her and didn't need his help
16. ...she was the rather with the links and connections she needed to expand his business

A year later to the date they met, they got married. As he looked deep into her eyes as she said, "I do," he remembered what the dawn preacher said and said a quiet prayer of thanks to God
17. He and Eunice haven't met in all the 8 years he's been married but he hardly thinks of her because he and his wife are happy.

You were expecting karma to visit Eunice? Naa. Karma doesn't work like that.

But, life happens to us differently and sometimes we rush into...
18. ...relationships we had no need entering. When the person is too young and you help them to reach a level in life, any feelings they feel for you is merely that of gratitude. When a person no longer needs you, that's when you'll find out how 'genuine' their love was.

Dear Some Ladies, if you're rich and about to get married, sign a prenup with your husband. I usually advocate for men to do this but a recent issue has made me realize that women too need one.
A friend just narrated this story to me. A lady with her own businesses met a guy. They fell in love and got married. She got pregnant and had serious complications from her 3rd to 4th month. Thus was moving in out of the hospital until month 6 when she was...
...admitted fully. She'd already made her husband manager of provisions shop and so with her being in the hospital and unable to supervise her hair salon and momo business she made him supervise all 3. She was discharged along the line but was admitted again.

1 Everything you do on social media is recorded

Some people have formed an opinion, whether good or bad, based on what you residually regularly tweet or share.

I've seen some people argue that, "but I only shared it because I found it to be funny. That's not my opinion."
2 But the fact that you thought it IMPORTANT enough to share it means that you agreed either in part or completely with it.

Whatever you share has its implications and no one will let you go Scot free from it.

Right now, Facebook keeps restricting me based on stories I shared
3 for people years ago. The most recent one which is 3 days ago was a 2018 post. I could ask for review but so long as I shared it on my page, I have to accept the community implications that comes with it.

It's high time some of us really took what we post/tweet very seriously

1) Traditionally, men had issues providing for their wives. That's why the 6-pieces-of-cloth rule was introduced as part of the dowry. He was made to provide everything the woman would need in her lifetime as his wife so that if he never provided her again, she'd still have them
2) 6 pieces of cloth to sew one by one over the years
2 white wax prints to wear whenever she gave birth
2 yellow wax prints
Ahenema
Shoes
Bras
Pants
Duku
Srikyi ahoma etc
The man had to provide all these at a go because families knew their daughters wouldn't be his only wife
3) The man had to provide for all his wives and 10s of kids at the same time. If this became impossible it affected them.

Therefore, he had to add a sewing machine, machetes, fishmonger pan, etc depending on her career at that time. It was to help make her independent so that

The story is told of how a Pastor Stole a $25,000.00 Open Bank Cheque During Dinner in Member's House”

A couple invited the Pastor of their church for dinner in their home. After the Pastor left, the couple realized their cheque had disappeared. The man said to his wife;
“I think the Pastor has stolen the $25,000.00 open bank cheque that I kept here on the table of which I had the intention to give to him."

Angrily, his wife exclaimed; “Hmmmm! All of them are just the same. If they are not fake, they are thieves.
There is no need to invite him again, we shall from henceforth be attending another church." Later, the woman met the Pastor in a certain street and was courageous enough to approach him and asked: “Good morning Pastor, you have surely realised that we no longer attend church...
