On the LWV SB, there are 12 races/issues that are available to choose right now, but that doesn't include the Supreme Court judge retention questions (there are 6 justices up for retention, so there will be 6 questions on whether to retain or not - and the answer is YES, btw)...
...or the KS Court of Appeals judges, District judges, Magistrate Judges, the State Board of Ed (if you live in a district that will have that on the ballot...in JoCo, it will be District 3, and if you can vote for Sheila Albers, you are a lucky duck!)...
...the County Commission positions (including Chair), and possible municipal races in certain spots (Prairie Village, and Gardner will be on applicable ballots).
This is going to be a LOT for folks to take in and consider, especially if they haven't looked things up ahead of time. Lines might be longer at both advanced voting as well as on election day because of the longer ballot.
I think we can count on that, actually, so prepare accordingly. Give yourself plenty of time to go vote.
YOU might be ready to go and know how you're going to mark your ballot, but the 30 people who get there ahead of you might not be as ready! 🫤🤷♀️
Sample ballots will be available in JoCo (via voter.jocoelection.org) 20 days before the election, so on Oct 19th. Fill it out. Print it. Take it with you when you go to vote, even if you're confident that you will know what your answer will be when you get there.
Oh, and for the record, the general advice on whether to retain a judge or not is to vote in favor of the retention. But the JoCo Bar Association always provides evaluations that are available for review, if you want more details on the judges themselves...

Head to vote411.org for more info on your candidate options. Check out their Ballotpedia info. Review media about them, if available. Just take time NOW to prepare for your vote. Thanks for being informed and prepared!
I spoke with @jocoelection today to try to confirm some info on this topic. The constitutional amendment questions (there will be 2 more on Nov 8th...gird your loins!) will be the LAST ITEMS on the ballots. In JoCo, I imagine the BOCC races will come after the judges...
...but before the amendment questions. (The answer to those questions is NO again, btw. Our constitution is just fine as is, thanks, #ksleg!)

I cannot stress this enough: PLEASE be prepared. Thank you for being an informed voter, and thank you, in advance, for having patience with election workers at the polls. I've been volunteering with JoCo since 2018, and I love it! But we're there to help facilitate...
...your voting process. We aren't there to talk politics with you, or to tell you how you should vote (outside of the procedural aspect, I mean). We aren't there for you to sneer at because the Sheriff has managed to convince you that we're all evil and criminal.
We aren't either of those things. We are simply volunteering our time to help you VOTE. So please do so, and please do so politely, in an orderly fashion, and as prepared as possible. With a smile on your face, if possible. 😎
