"My love, wake up," JC softly said as he tapped on LXC's shoulder.

It was one of those rare occasions that JC woke up earlier than him, and for a good reason.

As LXC slowly opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of JC and LJY
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABA!" LJY said with a big grin on his face.

LXC let out a laugh as he slowly sat up on their bed.

"Thank you little one," he said as he opened his arms and LJY jumped into them.

They both laughed and LXC turned his head to his husband.

"I didn't have enough
time to bake a cake, but I did make you a stack of blueberry pancakes," JC said as he showed LXC the plate.

"You didn't have to my heart," LXC said as he leaned towards JC to kiss him.

"Ewww," LJY said as he saw them kiss.

JC and LXC both laughed at that.

Later that day, JC threw a small party for LXC, inviting only the one's closest to them.

Even little A-Ling was there.

"Happy birthday!" JL said as he handed a box to LXC.

"Thank you Ling'er," LXC said as he accepted it with a smile.

JL then ran off to play with LJY.
"He's starting to warm up to you," JC said as he looked at LXC smiling down at the box.

"Yeah, finally."

JC laughed, "If he didn't warm up to you after six years, I'd be worried."

LXC just chuckled as he shook his head a little.

JL sat on his bed, a thin book placed beside him. He was already wearing his yellow onesie, and half of his body was already under the blanket.

He was hugging a fluffy chick stuffed toy, as he waited for his Jiujiu to come home.
"Hey little one, why are you still up?" LXC smiled softly at JL as he sat down at the edge of the boy's bed.

"Waiting fo Joo."

"Your Jiujiu called, he said he'd be home late... How about I read your bedtime story for tonight?"

JL crossed his arms and firmly shook his head.
"No! A-Ling wait for Joo. Joo aways reads A-Ling bed time stowy."

LXC could only sigh, he knew the little boy was just as stubborn as his uncle.

"Can I stay here? I'll wait for your Jiujiu with you."

JL thought about it for a second. Well, Jiujiu did say he loves

"He's always like that," NHS commented with a shrug.

They were at the cafeteria, and JC just picked at his food without actually eating it.

"No, there's definitely something
different," NMJ commented as he took note of JC's expression.

JC rolled his eyes and sighed, "I hate prom season."

The other three looked at each other with confused expressions.

"How come? You like parties!" NHS said.

JC rolled his eyes again, "It's not that, do we really
need to have a date to prom?"

"Well, no, you can choose to go alone if you wish." LXC answered.

All eyes turned to him as he did, everyone knows that there's something going on between the two of them, but no one has been able to pinpoint exactly what it is.

"Good," JC said.

LXC was currently in a zoom call with his friends, they were studying for their group project, but with NMJ with them, things got a little... Interesting.

"You know Xichen, I have to ask," NMJ said smirking.

LXC raised an eyebrow as NMJ continued, "What's
going on between you and Jiang Cheng? I saw him by your locker earlier."

JGY let out a chuckle as LXC's face turned red.

"What? He was just asking about something."

"We're not even in the same class," JGY said as a matter of fact.

LXC rolled his eyes as his two friends
continued to chuckle and pester him about JC.

"Just forget about it. We have other important things to do."

NMJ calmed down a little before responding, "Changing the subject now are we?"

LXC took a deep breath before replying, "Just move on, there's nothing even going on
