The purpose is to create infuse confusion in the minds of west-brainwashed Desis so that they could be lured to Abrahamic religions. Let's see some points.

You may be a Vaishnavite and Vishnu all-powerful but you need to pray to Vishvaksena first. Same with Lord Vinayaka for others.
So, we just need to educate ourselves on our own culture and tradition- ignore these fools
