Short wavelength light is 'blue' & long wavelength 'red', so instead of high & low notes, could we call them blue & red notes? (or could we say blue is a 'high' colour?) Trying to figure out whether 'high' and 'low' in music are just random monikers or have some physical reality
I'd love to know whether there was any other music culture that doesn't use high and low to describe the register of sounds
