@sassal0x The Bitmex case is the pivotal precedent in all of this, it proves what I have stated for 3 years, the US will use it's allies to chase and extradite people globally just for DeFi even existing, because it "touches US commerce and US peoples"

@sassal0x When you understand that language in Dodd & Frank and elsewhere in Ofac, and Bsa, what it means is that if the rest of the world *fails to explicitly exclude the US through screening & permissioning, the US can hunt them*. They *did this* in Panama Papers & Fatca.

@sassal0x Foreign account tax compliance act was used to enforce strict banking requirements on virtually every bank globally, even in Russia and China. Country will do *anything* to avoid the Ofac list.

@sassal0x So what do you think the State Department plans to do long term? Well we know, collude with banking and CeFi lobbyist to white list the entire industry with corrupt Licensing requirements, by exerting pressure on every Offramp globally that accepts native DeFi proceeds.

@sassal0x I don't think that winning a First amendment or Fourth amendment case against The State Department & Treasury is going to be anywhere as easy as we believe, because of the tax evasion & aml things they cite against these foreign offramps. (Binance who've they coerce intensely)

@sassal0x If they can do it to Binance, they can do it to just about anyone outside China and Russia, and China will absolutely cooperate since they hate crypto anyways. But out industry doesn't know the laws used to coerce Binance, when we should.

@sassal0x Because of the way the US operates bilateral treaties and holds Ofac designation over the head of most UN members, they will all roll over. The US merely needs to assert that non KYC Defi "Had proceeds from our foreign enemies which causes us financial systemic risk"

@sassal0x We see this as solely a US domestic 1st amendment issue, but most of the danger comes from how the US exerts it's legal power on Exchanges & Banks overseas, that's how they are able to do protocol level censorship through litigation.
