a-yue only nuzzles closer which gets him another amused huff and a tender kiss on his hair.

“Today is the hunt competition, you will be responsible of overseeing the contestants..” the underlying ‘you may have to deal with WXX’ heard clearly and that earned him a groan from his SIC,

Jiang Cheng actually laughs at that, it sounds like clarity bells, a-Yue raises his head at that and climbs over his lap to capture that laugh in a deep slow kiss

Chasing away all the thoughts of a certain someone.

Jiang Cheng spent the rest of their spare time fucking his a-Yue lazly and marking whatever skin he could reach.

The Sect leaders took their places where they can oversee the hunt, as the competitors lining, ready to step into the forest.

As Jiang cheng expected, WXX will be among the Gusu contestants as one of the guiding seniors, the other is of course his husband.

He sighs again, this properly will not end well, his eyes move to the monitoring team stepping in, to remind everyone of the terms and enter the forest first to set the parameters.

He can not help the smile forming on his face as he watches his SIC on the head of the team, with clear marks on his neck that he wears proudly.

the most beautiful smile bloomed on his face, his face gone unbearably tender, and looked like he was lost in memories for a little staring at his tea.

LXC heart broke silently and with it, he buried his feelings.

He thought that Jiang Cheng's visits were because he had the same feelings,

only after he left seclusion that his Shifu mention offhandedly how grateful he was that SLJ accepted his request to help his nephew, to drive the knife even deeper

So now he sits watching as Jiang Cheng looks at his most trusted person with undivided attention.

And as LXC follows his line of sight he can not help the bitterness raising seeing the bruised neck.

And he was not the only one watching the SIC with mixed dark feelings, WXX grin that he wore talking to the juniors dropped the moment he saw the SIC.

Which of course made the SIC the target of HG/j glare, as one who appears to have ‘stepped on his husband's happiness”

a-Yue stood emotionless and serene, he started to remind everyone of the competition terms,

voice loud and clear recapping the last line “no demonic cultivation allowed on YMJ lands, any break in that rule the actor will be forbidden to step again on YMJ land, if further neglect of this rule been proved the actor will be terminated immediately”

If looks could kill, he would be dead in seconds from the second master lan glares, though the couple was subdued by the glare from LQR and the reminder to behave

With that Jiang Cheng stood to wish the contestants good luck and to try their best and to announce the start of the hunt which was a signal for the SIC to enter the forest while the order each sect will enter is decided.

A-Yue barely avoided the stone thrown with a burst of energy aiming at him, causing a diagonal scratch on his left cheek drawing a thin line of blood.

His face remained expressionless as he regarded the man clad in black coming out of the bushes.

WXX took notice of the said SIC while he was giving some instructions to jiang disciples,

he does not know what got over him but he couldn't help the pity side with the childish attack.

His husband did not catch up to his attack, he would have stopped him just for his uncle's warnings to throw WXX if he dared to worsen the already thin relationship with the strongest Sect on the image now.

But he was too late, so instead he followed his husband to make sure this does not escalate any worse, followed by the juniors, also the curious watchers who took notice of the event

All the other jiang disciples hands were on their swords, The SIC did not make any move to his, just staring with nothing to give his thoughts, but WXX could swear there was something wrong, like his attack was not not hard for a skilled cultivator to avoid really,

With that thought and the irritation from not getting any reaction back, he couldn’t help but stomp his way to the front of the said SIC, Lw/j saw the dangerous smirk on his husband's face but couldn’t help to stop him from opinion him mouth

WXX gave a pointed look to the marked neck of the said SIC “or should I ask how tye Jiang SIC became to be in his position in the first place”

If WXX was not so deep in his pity he would notice that everyone took a step away from him, some even ran away immediately,

Because they saw before what happened to anyone who dared to spout such nonsense to the Jiang SIC, there is a reason no one brings his relationship with his SL

The hostility from the Jiangs was palpable, but none took a step or said a word, like they are waiting for something.

While the SIC just stares emotionless, but WXX can sware there is a hint of smirk or smugness in his stone face.

As in cue, a sound of thunder was all the warning they had before the Jiang SL, SDSS arrive in a swirl of his robes and lightning, standing in between his current SIC and the former one.

Only then any resemble of expressions does appear on the SIC’s face, the look of awe and devotion still the same after all those years, only adding to them the total adoration for his SL.

Followed by his TIC and other leaders who witnessed the transaction or were informed by their disciples of what has happened.

They were curious to k ow what will happen to the Gusu representatives, knowing that the last time something similar happened the consequences were catastrophic to the offender.

Jiang Cheng looked dangerously angry, and not in the usually loud and threatening way, no his furry was silent and cold, he was never the receiving end of a such glare.

The Jiang TIC knows just what to say to prevent this from escalating, so before her SL brings his wrath upon them she talked loudly “oh a-Yue you are hurt!”

And just like a switch on her SL been clicked, he immediately turned to his SIC totally ignoring everyone’s existing.

And that she knows will hurt a certain man more than anything else, smirking at the hurt expression on said man's face.

Jiang Cheng immediately grabbed his SIC by the waist close to him while inspecting the scarred cheek With his other hand, creasing the cut with spiritual energy from his thumb and wiping the thin line of blood,

Both talking in a hushed voice, like they live in their own world, and everyone else here is overstepping.

And yet no one dares comment, they avert their gaze from the couple, and the Jiangs act nonchalant and unaffected at all,

WXX didn't even notice when LXC followed by LQR arrived and started to question the juniors for the details of what happened,

He remained focused on the two in front of him, So close their noses barely touching, sharing their breath, talking quietly between themselves,

Jiang cheng tenderly creasing the healed cheek while the SIC hold oh his robe probably assuring him he is fine

WXX can not understand why that SIC needs to be treated like he got stabbed, it gets to his nerves even more, the moment he opens his mouth he finds himself on the silencing spell,

Looking with wide eyes at his husband who looks back with the same expression which means it was not him

LXC sidestepped him and bowed deeply in front of Jiang Cheng, apologizing for the overstepping.

It fell on deaf ears, Jiang Cheng didn’t even look like he heard a word or noticed him bowing,

WXX side-eyed the said man, he never saw the grim expressions on the always pleasant ZWJ, it looked scary enough to stop him from trying anything foolish

The only words WXX could make from their whispering conversation is their last words

Jiang cheng huff at that and bring him even closer

The SL and his SIC were not seen till the end of the day when LXC insisted to meet the Jiang Sect leader after the announcement from the SIC after the incident which stated that “YMJ cut all their trades with GSL starting from today”

It was humiliating in itself for it to be stated from the TIC in the sect and in a public banquet for everyone to see and hear.

LQR was resigned, this time there is nothing he can tell the elders to help with this, he just wishes his other nephew can salvage anything from their relationship with the Jiangs

So LXC after finally getting granted permission to meet Jiang Cheng at the end of the day, the last thing he wanted to see stepping into the throne room was said SL cradling his SIC on his lap and tucking him on his neck,

“The healer stated I am fine already Wanyin” the SIC whispered equally fond and whiny

LXC had to stop and take a breath to put his emotions in control.

He may stay still for a long moment as he only got out of his thoughts by the TIC giving him a nudge “isn’t it rude to arrive late when you are expected SLL”

He was startled by her, equally embarrassed and irritated.

Her tone may sound playful, but it still sent a shiver down his spine.

He scolded his expressions and apologized, then entered the hall with the TIC announcing his entrance then left immediately.

Jiang Cheng finally looks at him, it was not welcoming, while the SIC nuzzles closer to his neck.

LXC bows deeply trying to not look at the intimate image in front of him, formally apologizing for the incident and holding the bow for a long moment,

When he straightened he was still met with an unimpressed gaze, the SIC glanced at him then returned closing his eyes and enjoying the warmth of His SL.

LXC kept his temper down which is a feat seeing how rarely something can get to his nerves, each second he stays here he hates his brother he and his husband, even more, forcing him to deal with their consequences like always.

“I would hope and ask for another chance to salvage the two sects' relation, if not for the sake of years of prosperity then be it for the sake of our friendship”

“I believe I did spare so much for the sake of both reasons SLL, today was the chance you were asking for, and it ended just as everyone expected really, and it is totally on your sect”

LXC took another deep breath and made for another deep bow “rest assured the offenders will be punished accordingly, we hold our fellow leaders in the highest regard”
He thinks he heard a scoff at that but for his mental health he ignores it,

They can not afford a bad relationship with YMJ, which means LLJ may follow and the relationship with QHN is already unsteady, they simply can not afford it

Jiang Cheng regarded him for a long minute, LXC tried not to squirm under his sharp gaze.

“Well our relationship was built on mutual trust and respect above everything else..” Jiang Cheng paused for another long moment “so I will give you another chance to build that trust back”

‘Smartly worded’ LXC thinks as he knows to do so they will pay so much and not only with money to build said trust back, but he can do nothing but accept it with another bow, apology, and a promise to so and turn to leave (flee) the suffocating hall

Jiang Cheng sighs after the closed door “you knew that gonna happen adding that stupid rule regarding terminating DC”

A-Yue huffs at that and shifts to straddle his SL’s lap And kisses that smart mouth.

His kiss trails more downward, biting and sucking.

Jiang cheng hummus as he enjoys the jealousy flare his SIC is having “and the agape door yesterday too” that earned him a strong bite making him yelp,

And yank his SIC to devour him, leaving him ravished and breathless.

“They brought it upon themselves, they weren't there by your side..” yanking at gis SL belt, opening his robes,

He leaves his SL lap to kneel in front of him between his legs.

he takes the hand with Zidian with both hands and puts a kiss there, leaving his lips on it for a minute, then take it to his cheek and nuzzles it,

He looks at his SL with big eyes full of awe “but I was and shall always stay and follow you to the end and back”

He dives freeing his SL length and takes it slowly in his mouth

Jiang Cheng throws his head back on the sensation, he wholeheartedly believes him, the hand with Zidian on his SIC’s hair creasing and fisting on it,

“They don't deserve you” a-Yue stated before diving back again.

Jiang Cheng stare at him there for a minute then immediately switch their places, throwing him on the Lotus throne,

And before his SIC state that he is not worthy to sit there, Jiang Cheng fuck him on it for all LP to hear.

An explanation for the overprotectiveness of Jiang Cheng is this:
CW/ suicidal behavior

After his family died in the war, Jiang cheng was reckless when it came to his life which made his SIC who was then just a disciple to try and protect him,

but after the death of both JYL AND WXX, Jiang Cheng became border suicidal,

At one of the hunts for DCs, Jiang Cheng was about to lose his life if it wasn't for a-Yue who took a nasty blow for him, which left a big gash on his abdomen,

Jiang Cheng rushed him to the healers, he lost him twice on the journey back and stayed in a coma for a month.

It didn't take long after he woke up to return to his duties.

Which is how they discovered that his SIC has an issue to feel pain (he feels it but milder than what should be normal)

Since then his SIC has a weekly checkup aside from the ones he must have after each hunt.

So yeah, Jiang Cheng is overprotective, and also the near-death experience kinda left its effect on him, so a-Yue learned to not protest when his SL is in that mood and let him fuss till he is sure he is fine.

Note: TIC is the real MVP and the one with working brain cells when tjose two gets too deep in their sacrificing/romantic mood, give her a raise and a vacation- no just a raise, she can’t leave those idiots alone

Note 2: LXC did not kick his brother and husband, that would be like giving a kid more candy for punishment, so now it is time for the second master lan to get trained as a hair and his husband to share the responsibility,

After that, he will take his Shifu for a much-needed vacation.

So yeah that’s it

I still don’t know what to name the SIC so feel free to suggest any names you see fitting his persona here..
