A story no major outlet has picked up on: a right wing newspaper in Dallas that sued me for calling it propaganda and lost continues to quote/report on a hoax BLM group that was linked to a Republican PR firm, for stories that denigrate public schools and Democratic politicians.
Despite extensive coverage about Dallas Justice Now's link to a Republican PR firm and its dubious roots in Dallas, a right wing propaganda paper called the Dallas Express has quoted Dallas Justice Now on a number of topics.

Recently, Dallas Justice Now has been promoting school choice and vouchers. That happens to be a political issue the publisher of the Dallas Express, Monty Bennett, has been a major donor.

Dallas Justice Now has also started attacking Democratic politicians such as District Attorney John Creuzot, ostensibly for not being tough enough on crime, and enjoy positive and credulous coverage of their attacks in the Dallas Express.
Incidentally, the same Republican PR firm linked to Dallas Justice Now also happens to have worked with Keep Dallas Safe, a tough-on-crime astroturf organization that emerged in response to the BLM movement and also gets coverage in Dallas Express.

I first exposed the astroturf nature of Keep Dallas Safe in February 2021. The former operators later falsely accused me of sexual harassment and have since been replaced by a recent UNT grad who used was arrested for DWI in late 2021.

Also in February 2021, I noted the propagandistic nature of the Dallas Express in this article for the Dallas Weekly, over which Bennett tried and failed to sue us for defamation.

Later, I noted the shared linkage between Dallas Justice Now and Keep Dallas Safe. I also noted how the first news stories about Dallas Justice Now were published in "pink slime" website and written by an author who has also written for Dallas Express.

A few months after the article above was published, I was served with a lawsuit, which I won in the appeals court. Bennett's motion for a rehearing has been rejected.

NEW: I recently learned Dallas is home to one of the most prolific Holocaust deniers. His name is John Wear, author of a revisionist history of Nazi Germany and the editor of a Holocaust denial website. He claims the Holocaust was "invented" and the Jewish genocide "alleged."

Mr. Wear, who worked most of his life as a CPA, has been writing in the Holocaust denial space for years. He's currently listed as the Editor of Inconvenient Truth. Wear's book was published by American Free Press. The @splcenter has described both as Holocaust denial groups.

Mr. Wear's book, "Germany's War," argues Nazi Germany was not the aggressor in WWII and describes Adolf Hitler as the "savior" of Europe on the. back cover. One reviewer on Amazon praised the book. "NO communist or Zionist lies. JUST THE TRUTH!"

Proud Boy and religious extremists heeded the call from anti-LGBTQ groups and right wing media who want to shut down a "drag bingo" event in Katy, Texas. They've been met with resistance from community activists and antifascist groups.
A group of juvenile Neo-Nazis, also known as Patriot Front, are outside the drag brunch in Katy, Texas. The drag brunch was organized by a church.

The same live streamer who said that the anti-LGBTQ group Protect Texas Kids doesn't have "Jew money" is in Katy, Texas. Proud Boys and other masked men are clearly visible in the stream.

NEW: Mayor Derek France of Flower Mound, Texas wants to pass an ordinance banning face masks while possessing a firearm, and says it's because of the presence of "ANTIFA" at events in nearby towns. Notably, Mayor France did not mention Proud Boys or militia in the post. ImageImageImageImage
Given that Texas is now a "Constitutional Carry" state, I'm not sure of the legitimacy of an ordinance that makes it illegal to carry a gun while wearing a facemask.
Proud Boys and militia have routinely attended anti-drag protests in north Texas that have been organized by a self-described "Christian Fascist." Some have been violent. But apparently they aren't the problem for Mayor France. It's only these folks that get called out. Image

According to TEC records, the Huffines campaign paid Kyle Sims, a member of extremist militia This Is Texas Freedom Force, over $40K for campaign labor. Sources say Sims worked as a body man for the campaign. Sims was also seen alongside Proud Boys at an anti-LGBTQ protest.
Sims is a prolific activist, pictured with several high profile people like the Paxtons and Mike Lindell. He is active in a John Birch Society group on Facebook, and recently seen at events with Protect Texas Kids and True Texas Project, and spoke at a Frisco school board meeting
Sims is not the only member of TITFF with connections to elected officials that has shown up outside LGBTQ events in North Texas.

SCOOP: multiple sources tell me that a member of the FBI designed extremist militia This is Texas Freedom Force, Kyle Sims, worked for Don Huffines as a body man. Below are two photos. One of Sims standing next to Don Huffines, another of Sims standing next to a Proud Boy.
Kyle Sims is a busy man. I've seen him posting in John Birch Society groups on Facebook. Recently, he spread disinformation about a gun safety resolution at a north Texas school district with the help of Texas Scorecard.

Sims appears to be a well connected activist. He's shown up to several school board meetings in the area and multiple events organized by the leader of the anti-LGBTQ group led by Kelly Neidert, Protect Texas Kids.
