How to win scholarships & admissions for grad education abroad?

Read this thread especially for social sciences and humanities.

2/10. Your personal statement is the most important factor.

So spend a couple of months on it. Get it reviewed by at least 5 people who have won such scholarships.

Be original and humble. Dnt copy others personal statements.

Remember this is personal statement. Neither a CV nor an essay on Pakistan's problems.

So make it personal.

4/10. Tell them what you have already learnt through education and experience.

Talk about specific data analysis skills or writing. And tell them where/how you. demonstrated it.

Also tell them learning gaps you have.

5/10. Foreign universities know they are good. So dnt waste space of your personal statement in praising them.

Tell them about the content of courses or professors you are interested to learn from.

6/10.
Dnt exaggerate your competence to a level that they say you already know a lot.

So be humble and subtle in your achievements.

7/10. References play an important role. References should not necessarily be from very important people.

The referee should have academic or professional relationship with you for a discussion on your skills, abilities and learning motivation.

8/10. Be very specific what you want to do after your degree.

You should mention specific/sub field and the kind of organisations/roles you will be looking for.
