I don't think a Musk-controlled Twitter would stifle much harmful rhetoric or disinformation. You know, it's hard for me to reconcile that Twitter shows character and public interest on one hand, and yet they're ready to sell out to someone who shows none of it on the other hand.

I don't think our Democratic elected officials are speaking loudly and often enough about the apparent alignment between the GOP and Putin. It's an abominable thing. And if the mainstream media won't sufficiently cover it on its own, our officials need to force feed it to them.
This includes the alignment between Fox and Putin, and especially between Carlson and Putin. It's one thing to embrace a totalitarian, it's another to embrace one actively engaged in murder and war crimes - against Ukraine, his own citizenry, and Democracy wherever it lives.
As Putin loses his war, loses ground, and most of all -loses face, this becomes an increasingly dangerous situation. No matter what happens, its impact politically in the US will be more accurate if the Dems don't shy away from the looming danger exacerbated by a political party.
