in the afternoon, two figures stroll liyue harbor, tightly stuck to one another from their linked arms.

zhongli treasures moments like these, moments where it feels like it's only him and childe in the world.

zhongli leans his head on his lover's arm, softly purring as he sighs lovingly.

"it's nice to take a stroll around liyue harbor with you, baobei"

childe smiles, looking down at zhongli, softly patting his brunette hair.

"when i would stroll around the harbor, i would observe how my people live their lives, watching how they would go about their day.."

zhongli looks up at childe.

"but is it selfish of i, as the geo archon, to pay such close attention to only you, my dear?"

zhongli smiles at childe, the brightest smile that would make any man's heart skip a beat.

"heh, *former* geo archon, you mean?" childe reaches for zhongli's hand, softly taking it into his and bringing it up close to his lips.

"i don't see anything wrong with a god being so adorably in love with a fatui harbinger" childe chuckles, giving zhongli's hand a soft kiss.

the gesture makes zhongli blush, a bashful look growing on his face as he stares at childe's deep blue eyes.

childe smiles "may i kiss you, morax?"

zhongli wraps his arms around childe, pulling him closer to his face, their lips meeting in a soft kiss.

"promise to stay by my side, my dearest" zhongli kisses childe's forehead.

"i wouldn't dare to break your heart, my love"

zhongli knows this. zhongli knows the only thing that coulde seperate them is childe's passing. but even that wouldn't stop zhongli from continuing to love him.

zhongli would wait an eternity, until his final days when he is enveloped in erosion, he would still love childe.

"i am a hopeless fool in love, who would have known the god liyue prays to is foolishly in love? you make me a fool, ajax, and i couldn't be happier"

childe peppers zhongli's cheeks with kisses.

"if you are a fool, then i am a jester, i wouldn't mind being a hopeless romantic when i am so madly in love with you"

zhongli chuckles, giving childe kisses on his cheeks back.

"would you like to stay the night? the traveller brought me tea all the way from inazuma and i would love to share it with you, my dearest"

"wow, inviting me to come over to your house? how bold of you, xiansheng"

zhongli playfully punches childe's arm.

"jokes aside, it would be my greatest pleasure"

holding childe's hand, zhongli leads him to the direction of his house.

"then come along, my fool"
