Last year I taught myself R with resources I primarily found via Twitter. I've been meaning to share some of the resources here, and I finally have a little time today. So here they are... 🧵
I started with A Psychologists Guide to R. I highly recommend at least doing the first few weeks. This made me more comfortable with the logic of coding in R- and also basics like, how to download R and RStudio? github.com/seanchrismurph…
Another great resource for beginners is R for Data Science. The modules on data wrangling were especially helpful for me. r4ds.had.co.nz/index.html
The third resource I'd recommend for learning R fundamentals is this Crash Course in R by @kirst_morehouse -
After learning fundamentals, I began to make R my primary go-to tool when starting an analysis. This initially took longer, but learning by doing was an important part of my learning curve (This was totally @IanCero's advice!)
Here's a few more specific resources I used-
Most R users are aware of these RStudio cheatsheets, but when I first found out about them they were a game changer. If you're new to R/RStudio definitely bookmark this!
That's all I can dig up for now. Anyways, I'm nowhere near an expert but I'm proficient enough to primarily use R/RStudio for the majority of my projects now. Hope this is helpful to some 😊
