1. Luz, the first bisexual main lead in a Disney Channel show, was made that way because series creator Dana Terrace came out as bi before the pitch was made.
Dana states: It felt very natural to want the main character of my first show to also be bi. There was not much more thought put into it than that. I [knew] it would be important for people to see on a Disney channel show but I didn't even know if it would get picked up by Disney
