[#BodyModification#WeightLoss] compared measurements from c. this time in 2020 during heavy lockdown vs. now, after working a labor-intensive job for one year:
weight: –7.1 pounds
boobs: –1.5 in
arms: –0.125 in
waist: –3.625 in
thighs: –1.25 in
hips: –0.375 in
calves: –0.375 in
overall given how much weight I gained after hospitalization and quarantine, I’ve gone down –24 pounds, and although there’s some fluctuation with my weight, it’s stayed relatively stable—I’m hoping to curb the yo-yo shape and keep it at a relatively steady plateau
I don’t think I have measurement numbers from when I was at my heaviest weight, but given that it was almost 20 pounds more than the record I have measurements for, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another half inch loss in the measurements from when I was at my biggest
it’s absolutely wild to see how the weight number hasn’t changed much, but the circumferences and body measurements have changed drastically!! abdomen fat is my biggest health risk factor (genetically predisposed to diabetes) so I am SO happy I’ve reduced it by so much!!
my weight gains tend to migrate to my boobs first, so I’m not surprised by the reduction there, but I AM surprised by how little my thighs & hips have reduced, but it makes sense because I’m mostly using thighs/hips to lift at work so any loss has probably been replaced by muscle
weight and body image have been such a lifelong struggle for me especially with ADHD and PCOS, and I’m so happy I’m more positive and healthy about it now 😭😭😭 I haven’t even had a chance to manage my eating more rigorously, this was all possible with small eating changes!!
after reading some more on measurement changes, it looks like I didn’t lose much on my hips and thighs because there likely wasn’t much fat there to begin with! my thighs and hips have always been more solid muscle than jiggly fat
purposely using the shitty paper so you feel less pressure to create something awesome, only half the time you create something awesome, but now it’s on shitty paper 💀
I think I’m gonna end up splashing cup noodles on this paper before I get any graphite or ink onto it, which is how you know it’ll definitely turn out good with the cup noodle spot in an annoyingly central location that will require more effort to edit out if it’s scanned
(1) as expected, holes in paper right where important element is ending up lol, (2) @MattHTaylor@weredawgz speaking of incomprehensible thumbnail sketches
what if I’m scared to write the thing I want to write!!
I think I’m also just frustrated because all of my characters have gradually illuminated themselves to me except the key deuteragonist who actually holds everything together—what are some techniques y’all have for getting a character to reveal themself to you?
this is both appearance and physicality but also personality and motives
big mood, feeling the novella calling me with some dark dualities and this is a Vibe
laughing because I drew two cards to drill down, one for each character, and I drew the same card, same reversal, after having put it back into the deck and shuffling it, and another card like drowning, everything tells me to write the hardest scene first, but I’m scared to!!
