π·πΊ On low-quality body armor and helmets for the mobilized, part 2
In response to our post about the low-quality products from NPO Spetsmaterialy (Modul-Monolit body armor and Kolpak-20 protective helmets), a representative of the manufacturing company came to our feedback bot.
The situation turned out to be not so simple.
π»We publish the letter as is:
π» In light of the current conflicting situation we decided to give additional clarification on what is happening.
Here we are talking about active duty servicemen who are defending the borders of our Motherland in Kherson. In this dispute we are guided exclusively by interests of the servicemen who have genuine concern for their own lives.
We are in constant contact with representatives of both the Russian Armed Forces and Rosgvardia, who have tested these products in action. We do not rule out that some of the products were damaged as a result of manufacturing disruption, storage and transport conditions.
Our sources in the Republic of Crimea claim that, regarding the quality of the purchased body armor and helmets, there has already been an appeal to Republic Head Aksyonov. There was a test firing on a particular batch in Perevalny - tentatively, the vests passed the tests.
Now the concerned veterans are waiting for documents from the manufacturer regarding factory tests of the equipment received by the mobilized party.
π» In order both to dispel servicemen's fears and smooth the conflicting situation, we offer interested persons from "NPO Spetsmaterialy" JSC to go to the positions in Kherson region, where the mobilized from Crimea now are, bringing spare test kits.
In this case, there is nothing to prevent the representatives of the manufacturing company from conducting such an action, shooting off the issued uniforms in the presence of the mobilized.
π» We, for our part, are ready to report on this in order to dispel all possible fears.

π·πΊ On low-quality body armor and helmets for the mobilized
The situation with the mobilized men and their equipment is rapidly improving. Regional authorities are getting involved, activists and concerned individuals are taking part. There is a response from civil society.
This reaction very uplifting indeed.
But unfortunately, when there is a shortage of personal body armor, even products that objectively do not have the proper level of quality are being purchased.
Mobilized men from Crimea and Sevastopol were issued a Modul-Monolit "bulletproof vests" and Kolpak-20 protective helmets. To understand what these are,we suggest watching a review where these products get shot through.
βοΈπ·πΊπΊπ¦ Situation in the Soledar direction
by the end of October 20, 2022
In the Bakhmut area, Wagner assault units are carrying out an offensive near the asphalt plant on the southeastern outskirts of Bakhmut. The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Soledar grouping is equipping a fortification at the Champagne Factory.
Units of the AFU 53rd Mechanized Brigade attempted a counterattack on Ivanhrad from the direction of Opytne and Kleshchiivka.
The attack was repulsed with heavy fighting. The 53rd Brigade took losses: 23 men were eliminated and one wounded according to confirmed reports alone.
π·πΊπΊπ¦ππ€ How to cut off the supply of the AFU grouping near Kherson?
Throughout the special military operation, we regularly published lists of targets and provided our own analysis of critical Ukrainian infrastructure. In our view, the primary targets of strikes should have been:
- Bridges over the Dnieper River (this would have allowed us to cut off the AFU grouping in Donbass);
- Railroad bridges in western Ukraine and substations on the border with Poland (this would have made it possible to stop supplying the AFU from abroad);
After police and special forces dispersed peaceful protesters on October 16 and demolished a tent city in downtown Chisinau, the protests have not stopped.
On October 17, there was a rally in front of the Opera and Ballet Theater next to the Presidential Palace. Sergiu Burgudji, a Shor Party advisor, spoke at the rally, accusing Maia Sandu of violating the Moldovan Constitution and turning the country into a police state.
Also on October 17, representatives of the Shor Party filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office against the actions of law enforcement officers during Sunday's protests.
π΅π±πΊπ¦ Ukrainian refugees in Poland will have to pay for themselves
Ahead of a new wave of refugees from Ukraine, which is expected in Poland very soon - already this winter - the government has decided to prepare.
Polish authorities said they would "gradually" limit aid to Ukrainians who have long been in the country. The government's rationale is: we promised not just assistance, but also support, to "get these citizens on their feet". In other words: he who does not work does not eat.
Starting January 1, the government plans to require Ukrainians staying at Temporary Accommodation Centers (which include state-provided accommodation facilities) for more than 120 days to pay 50% of their accommodation. And by mid-2023, it will be 100%.
Heading a Transitional Military Council (TMC) of 15 generals, he suspended the constitution, dissolved parliament and dismissed the government, but promised to transfer power to civilian institutions after an 18-month "transition period" and not run for president in the future.
