I wish you could be a fly on the wall and see what I see. I've been seeing some unbelievable progress and it kind of gets me excited to be part of it. We're taking identity and privacy to the next level.
The next 12 months are going to be momentous @cheqd_io
Strap in!
When I first learned about the concept of digital identity, I really wasn't a fan. Then I was thrown into the deep end and discovered the concept of Self-Sovereign Identity(SSI).
I've many peers who still wonder what the hell it is that we do and it isn't always easy to explain
As someone who's worked in development and IT administration positions, I've seen all kinds of scam attempts from spear-phishing, whale-phishing, smishing and social engineering techniques designed to catch unsuspecting victims off-guard.
I've previously been a victim of identity theft and financial burden as a result. It set me back months, had my PayPal emptied, mobile phone contacts setup in my name and all because someone caught me out. They presented themselves as me.
What many fail to accept is that all of our data is already digital, our finances, passport information, driving licence, it is already centrally stored on a range if different systems, and to many, there's no escape.
But what if I decided to hold my own identity, what if I decided what I shared and what if I could decide when my data is revoked. Well, I've now learned I can. Not only is this becoming a reality, but it will make waves across many business sectors.
See our #SSI Short video to understand more about what we're building. #Decentralisedidentity is a great thing.
