Turkey Denies Use of Chemical Weapons Against Kurdish Militants via @defensepost thedefensepost.com/2022/10/21/tur…
International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), a non-partisan federation of medical groups in over 60 countries, sent a mission to northern Iraq in late September.
“Some indirect evidence for possible violations of the Chemical Weapons Convention was found,” it said in its report.
Türkiye has rejected the claims that it used chemical weapons during its military operations. The HDP calls for an international investigation. The Turkish Medial Association head is facing an investigation following her comments supportive of the claims.

The HDP on Tuesday released a written statement, demanding the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the UN investigate the claims - BIAnet bianet.org/english/milita…. But OPCW says only states can request an investigation.

According to the SDF the two targeted men were linked to Ahrar al-Sharqiya and also had ISIS links. Last year, the US sanctioned the group for harboring ISIS militants
