1. Scotland can't run a wellbeing economy if our monetary policies try to mimic those of the UK Government. @GOVUK policies are built, not on a mountain of govt debt - but on a mountain of myths about govt debt. Remember, the UK Government can't run out of money.
2. Government finance in a monetary sovereign country is not scarce – the only things that are scarce are the country’s resources. Those resources are its people, their skills and the physical/technological resources of the country.
3. The government can afford to invest in green technology, in education, in research, in healthy citizens, in a more equal distribution of opportunity & wealth. It can invest in ensuring the planet doesn't burn to a crisp. Resources are limited - not finance.
4. Currency sovereign governments - such as an independent Scotland with its own currency can use policy to control inflation, control interest rates, control corporate profiteering and financial fraud. It should control those for the good of Scotland's citizens.

5. Not for the sake of controlling arbitrary 'debt' ratios or any other financial indicators. The focus should be on people, not on financial 'indicators'. None of these things can be done within current neoliberal economic thinking. That thinking is based on wrong assumptions.
6. Those wrong assumptions and myths about how economies work suit a particular class of people. Which is why, despite the evidence showing, for example, how government financing actually works, nothing changes. Educate yourself and start to challenge orthodoxies.

7. Scotland has an opportunity to revolutionise the entire idea of what the government’s job is. The governments job, should be, and can be, to look after the welfare of its citizens. That is not done by having flawed economic models that say the country needs austerity.

9. We can’t have a Wellbeing Economy unless we move away from neoliberal economic orthodoxies - and change our flawed understanding of debt and deficits.

Why do you want English MP's to run Scotland? Seriously - I'm beyond baffled.
Your mind has been colonised. That's the only explanation I can think of.
We're on a hamster wheel of untalented selfish right-wing numpty after untalented selfish right-wing numpty - running Scotland's economy - and undermining our culture with colonial TV - and people are still want to sign up for more. What??????????? Come on, get our act together.

Once you become aware of how much Scots are being shafted by Westminster - it's difficult to get it out of your mind.

#YesScots #ScottishIndependence2023
Shafted. An example: Scots having one of the highest energy costs in Europe. Which apart from anyone else - is enough to scare off companies wanting to invest in Scotland.
#YesScots
Shafted: another exaple is Scotland being pulled out the EU against our will! Shafted by Westminster.

1 Unfortunately there is still a wrong-headed belief that Scotland is 'owned by' or is a 'colony of' England and therefore Westminster has to give permission for Scotland to become independent. This is not the case - the relationship between Scotland & England is a treaty.
2 Scots themselves can make the choice to disolve that treaty; it is a unilateral decision and not dependent on any permission for the other sigantory of the treaty. Scot law was not subsumed within English law and neither is it overwritten by English law.
3 English law can't be used to make a Scottish vote ratified by Scots law illegal.
