A VDPS TIMELINE OF EVENTS for a Covid-19 vax injured or bereaved victim.
I was made aware by a Solicitor I could make a claim for the VDPS - Vaccine damage payment scheme from @NHSBSA @michaelkbrodie
A 1 off payment of £120,000.

April 21 following my AstraZeneca vaccine I was diagnosed vaccine induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia, VITT blood clots all over my body, this led to numerous conditions which I’m now suffering from. I made a claim for VDPS in July when I realised my health was not improving

I sent my claim off with all relevant evidence of my illness, I was informed of the eligibility requirements that causation has to be met and you need to be at least 60% disabled, slightly concerning as what constitutes 60% disabled? Still that question has not been answered!

Oct 21, I receive a letter informing me that the NHSBSA will take over the VDPS dep from the DWP Nov 1st so there may be a delay in dealing with claims. This is almost 1 year after the vaccine rollout Began & 1 year after the Covid-19 vaccines were added to the VDPS list

January 22 I call to get an update on what’s happening with my claim, no answer, I keep trying, no answer for weeks, eventually get through end of February to be told they are still in the process of setting up medical assessors.

In early April 22 I sent further supporting evidence for my claim as I had further neurological diagnosis and health issues, so needed to update, took 4 weeks for them to confirm they had received my updates.

In late April 22 I called for an update several times & was informed all my medical records were requested from the different hospitals I was under and the GP, the beginning of May they confirmed all records have been received & they would be prepared for assessment

More calls chasing.
June 22 I send a SARS (subject access request) so that I can see exactly what records they’re using to assess my case, I notice the previous 2 years of GP notes are missing, I contact both the SARS team & the VDPS to inform them of this

After several email exchanges I am told they have all the records they need. I assumed they would just be using my hospital notes for assessment, but still found it strange my GP notes were not needed. I was assured my records were being checked & verified for the assessors

July 22, after calling numerous times for an update my records are still untouched and haven’t been prepared for assessment. I file a formal complaint & then receive a call to say my records are now being prepared and should be sent to the assessors shortly.

More calls chasing and 2 weeks later no change, I call to speak to a manager & eventually my records are sent to the medical assessors, I’m also assigned a case worker who will update me weekly. I’m told I should get an outcome within 12 weeks

More chasing. August 22 I receive a response from the NHSBSA to my stage 1 formal complaint about the length of time my claim is taking…. “Im sorry for the delay this is due to taking over from DWP” blah blah blah! I send a stage 2 complaint

11 Weeks into the 12 week wait, I’m told the 12 week estimate is now; ‘no timeframe can be given’ I apparently had been informed of this! I also receive a letter saying this will take longer due to the complexity of my case! My medical notes are clear, what is complex?

Exactly on week 12 I get a call.
The medical assessors have an update! They cannot continue with my claim as they do not have my GP notes from the past 2 years!
I’m now screaming in frustration, I told them this in June.

The same week I get a response to my stage 2 complaint from Michael Brodie CEO. Pretty much the same as the first response. “The delay is due to the takeover from the DWP” blah blah blah. He failed to mention only 8 medical assesors are covering 2500+ claims

My case worker explains they will need to request my GP notes which she will do that afternoon.
Next day I call the surgery to check the request, no request made but was informed all my notes were sent to them April 22. So where the hell are all my notes??

Caseworker agrees to contact the medical assessors to confirm why they’re requesting further notes if they have already been sent. But they don’t respond. 1 week on still no response from the medical assessors to the VDPS. Now I’m assuming my notes are lost

Now knowing my notes are floating around someone’s office I am concerned, I’ve emailed Michael Brodie, as of yet no reply. To me this is urgent. These are my confidential notes.

Putting aside my missing notes,
I am back to square one. It’s like Groundhog Day, once again I am waiting for the VDPS to request my notes, they will then need to be prepared to send to the assessors.
While this is happening I will be sending a complaint to the ombudsman.

So 18 months on, Oct 22 I’m unable to work, a wage down in our household. The VDPS don’t care. I took this governments vaccine & this is what I get in return; absolute bull,

Vikki was awarded the max payout of £120,000.
The government think this is acceptable for losing a loved one. The amount hasn’t changed since 2010.
With the rate of inflation the payment should be at least £180,000.
@VIBUK1 will continue to campaign to change this…

The first battle has been won,
Now all of those sadly bereaved by the vaccine with coroners reports should quickly receive the payments applied for, waiting for a decision for over a year is NOT acceptable, @VIBUK1 will continue to campaign to change this…
