Israel Rocha has given a statement about how health care has changed over the years. Undocumented patients have received coverage , asylum seekers have received health care as well.
The board is having issues with viewing the presentation.
FY23 budgets has not been met in the health care department. Memberships projections in county care has declined
44 new positions opening up in cook county health care. Israel is going through a few of them and explaining to chairman where these new hires will be changing in the health system
Proposed to have a behavioral/crises inpatient center . Would be the first in the city to have one if this gets approved
Juvenile centers will have coordinators to assist them with healthcare and other services to help them with needs
Supporting women with terminating their pregnancy. Having family planning services for everyone and assisting them with all the needs
Hiring new providers in the county to assist with patients needing care
Primary care is very low at the county care hospital , and in the process of bettering the primate care providers
Cook county needs overtime hours approved until they’re no longer short staffed. Being short staffed is making them delayed in certain areas and is delaying their projections with budget FY23
The circuit court chairman stated that the reducing of staff members have reduced from 2001. Between 2001 and 2021 many cuts happened
Madam Clerk of circuit Martinez states that they have filled 200 vacant /positions and internally promoted their staff
More clerks are in process of being hired. There has been an issue where there is one clerk for 3-4 court rooms. They would want to minimize the court rooms per clerk
Madam clerk will work on her reports for upcoming meetings to provide more information in regards to budget
Maria pappas going over her presentation on tax bill electronic information and website information and views
Inspector general department hired two more inspectors for the vacant positions
