I was working at large toy store and admittedly things between the company and the store were tense.
At one point during a meeting the assistant GM of the store stands up shouts “THATS ENOUGH!” And storms out

Now this COMPLETELY worked on me. I was ready to do or say anything to diffuse the tension.
My boss however is a north England traveller who used to make a lot cigarette appear out of his mouth…he was…to say the least..unphased

So he immediately turns to me and says “go to the closest pizza place and buy 10 pizzas” and I do and bring them back.
While I’m doing that he walks around the corporate office inviting everyone into the meeting room for lunch

By the time yelly guy gets back half of admin is sitting around the table eating pizza. Including his boss who grows ever more pissed that he “took a lunch break without warning”
Needless to say the rest of the meeting went really smoothly
