One of my greatest inspirations are my little nieces & nephews. They look at the world with new & fresh eyes. I think that’s how artists should be & I love sitting with them & chatting about what they see. Here’s one of my nieces & myself after a busy day exchanging ideas!
I love creating art. I think you can see that joy in the works. It’s fantastic that my drawings make people happy & a great pleasure when I’m sent photos of the framed drawings in new homes! I’m really grateful for that!
It’s important to me that art is accessible. I think it’s a good thing that kids live with original art in their home - & that they are inspired by it. A surprising number of people (to me) buy my work for their kids
Dreaming was a key part of storytelling in early medieval Ireland. In dreaming one had access to the Otherworld (or as I would call it, the imagination). The Otherworld was the land of the gods or lucht na Sidhe
Here the inspiration was the manuscripts of the later Middle Ages. Inspiration comes from the Hiberno Norman manuscripts. My mother is a FitzGerald after all
I’ve been doing commissions this month. Usually people see an idea they like & then add a question about how I might approach a subject. This is a present for a friend of a friend
Another commission where I worked with the client to express emotion through their favourite animals - swans! One is about metamorphosis & freedom. The other has humour & is down to earth.
Hares have a big part in Celtic lore & mythology. They are animals that transform into a Celtic goddess. As you can see here I’ve added in ideas of Earth, sky, constellations & biology.
Woodland was rare, even in the Early Medieval Period, so was imbued with magical qualities or being put under a spell. Here a woman has fallen into a floating sleep below some ornate & ancient trees.

Thread: Harry Clarke (1889-1931) was one of Ireland’s greatest artists. His medium was stained glass & he created masterpieces which integrated Celtic art with Art Nouveau. He was one of the great Western artists & an ideal artist to celebrate Samhain [Halloween].
One of Clarke’s most moving works is his Agony in the Garden (1924) which is in the Institute of Education & Celtic Culture in Dingle. It is one of a number of stunning windows in the Institute
Here’s a selection of my ink on paper drawings that are currently available. I ship worldwide. Click the links to learn more about each original drawing

Thread: Halloween, as the world knows it, is an Irish invention from ancient Irish-Celtic roots. It’s correct name is Samhain & marks the end of the Harvest. It was culturally appropriated by the Christian Church as All Hallows’ Eve. Here’s an overview. #Samhain
Samhain was seen as the time when the concrete & the spirit worlds met & was a portal to the Otherworld. All sorts of spirits, particularly malevolent ones, walked amongst the living! Irish people brought it with them as they migrated to all parts of the world from the 4th C.
I find Irish art & culture fascinating & it’s part of the DNA of my work. Here’s a group of my drawings that are inspired love, hope & happiness.
I think everyone should have access to art & I wanted to do something about it! As a result I decided to share my work on here & give everyone the opportunity to have original art in their home whatever their age. This is me & my nephew (aged 1y) discussing Picasso.

One of the great ironies of our time is that a tiny group of heterosexual cis women, who are not attracted to women, self-identify as ‘political lesbians’ [sic]. These far right extremists then question Trans women! Fascism is anti-science*, anti-ethics & annihilationist.
Science has been very clear, for over a century, that human sexuality & gender are a spectrum & NOT binary. I’m sorry if your degree in computing didn’t explain that to you Ms Braun. Buy, Eva, I’m here to enlighten. Here’s the science: blogs.scientificamerican.com/voices/stop-us…
And why do ‘political’ lesbians not exist? Because (again science, Adolf) you are born LGBT+. It’s not a lifestyle, Benito, didn’t you learn anything from Nuremberg mate? Oh, right, the lamppost.
