Pope Francis created a position in the Vatican for his personal friend, Bishop Oscar Zanchetta, after credible allegations of sexual abuse and harassment from seminarians (adult men) became public.

Zanchetta has since been convicted and sentenced to jail.

Pope Francis was contacted about the cover-up of multiple sexual predators by newly elevated Cardinal Robert McElroy of San Diego.

In 2016, McElroy was informed with credible evidence, of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

He did nothing.

If you’ve followed my work, you’ve no doubt seen me call to account journalists—ESPECIALLY Catholic journalists—who have repeatedly reported unsubstantiated rumours as “news”.

It seems there are challenges to pushing ideologies as news.
This is healthy for debate, but hard to counter if censored.
Historical facts should be pretty clear on the assertions made.

Is @gregorykhillis or @EdwardPentin correct on this important fact?

@TheAtlantic did a story, albeit not without editorialising, citing documentation to support Dr Malone’s credentials.

It seems, by the references he makes, that he was one of a few to begin serious research.
Does that signify he’s the “inventor”?

One of the documents cited states Dr Malone was the “first author on a 1989 paper demonstrating how RNA could be delivered into cells using lipids, which are basically tiny globules of fat”.
