Haven't heard anybody discuss perhaps the most suspicious aspect of the #PaulPelosi case: the time of the alleged attack. Pelosi called the cops around 2:30 in the morning. Let's examine the two theories and see how the time of the attacks fits into each /1
Theory #1: an affair gone bad
Nothing is odd about the time of night- this is when we might expect something like this to happen /2
Theory #2: violent break in
In this case, it is a near certainty that Paul Pelosi would be SLEEPING when the break in occurred. Imagine you are an incredibly rich public figure and you awake to the sound of broken glass and hear someone entering your house. What would you do? /3
If you were armed and/or an MMA fighter maybe you see what is happening. If you are not (and there's no indication Pelosi was), then you ABSOLUTELY are staying in your room! You are locking the door and calling the police. /4
How likely is it that an 82-year old man awakes to the sound of broken glass, decides to investigate (!?), encounters an intruder, somehow begins a conversation, later asks for a bathroom break, then EXITS the bathroom, and only when the police show up gets attacked? /5
In that theory, #PaulPelosi has TWO opportunities to stay behind a locked door in a dangerous situation and chooses to pass on both. Weird things happen and people make bad decisions under stress, but #PelosiSmollett is more likely /6
Here is my full theory of the evening:
1: #PaulPelosi solicited #DavidDepape for sex
2: DePape started acting deranged
3: Paul gets scared and calls the cops, but he REALLY doesn't want this to become a crime scene, so he just alludes to being in danger /7
4: He then tries to talk with DePape to de-escalate the situation, with the hope that when the police show up they can take him away without him having to press charges
5: When the cops show up DePape feels betrayed/duped and lashes out violently /end
