Oyo Court Convicts 13 Internet Fraudsters in Ibadan

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the EFCC on Thursday, October 27, 2022 and Friday, October 28, 2022 secured conviction of thirteen cybercriminals before Justices Olusola Adetujoye and Bayo Taiwo of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan. ImageImageImageImage

Atumeyi who is seeking to represent Ankpa 11 Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly was arrested on Sunday, October 30, 2022 alongside one Joshua Dominic, an alleged serial fraudster, in a sting operation at Macedonia Street, Queens Estate, Karsana, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Also arrested in connection with the Fraud is Abdumalik Salau Femi, a former bank employee, who allegedly supplied the inside information that facilitated the attack on the bank by the syndicate. He was picked up today, November 1, 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lagos.

Justice Babs Kuewumi of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has ordered the arrest of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Authority, NAMA, Mathew Pwajok, for disobedience to court order.
The Judge had, sometime in July, 2022 issued a subpoena against Pwajok, ordering him to make available some documents in the ongoing trial of a former Managing Director of NAMA, Ibrahim Abdulsalami, and others for an alleged N2.8bn fraud.

The victory came for the team on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in a penalty shootout  that saw the EFCC FC thrashed Nassarawa United 4-3 at the Area 3 Football Field, Garki, Abuja.
Football fans thronged the field in large numbers cheering as the EFCC opened the scoring in the 7th minute after an infringement in the opposition’s box, which resulted in a penalty converted by EFCC’s Masoud Danjuma.
