In Bengal, the Bhagavad Gita was a deadlier weapon than bombs in the hands of revolutionaries. Hindutva was not a northern invention imposed on Bengal, it rose from Bengal’s own revolutionary soul, where the Gita became the ideological, spiritual fire that drove men and women to fight for Dharma. @jsaideepak ji is absolutely right about it.
When .@jsaideepak ji said Hindutva is a Shakta counter-strike to colonial barbarism, this is exactly what it means:
Bengal’s Hindus did not merely resist oppression they consecrated resistance itself. They offered "bali" to Goddess Kali, turning sacrifice into sacred duty before doing anything and after bali, they did not plead or retreat, they went to war against colonial rule, embracing death without hesitation, without fear, without remorse.
They sacrificed their own lives as an offering to Dharma, proving that Bengal’s revolution was not born of cowardly politics, but of spiritual ferocity and Shakta resolve.
Those clowns who scoff when he mentioned “Bengali masculinity” only expose their ignorance. They fail to grasp that this masculinity was born from the ferocity of Goddess Kali’s blessings and hardened by the command of the Bhagavad Gita.
Bengal is Maa Kali’s land and it was her fire that flowed into the revolutionaries who roared back at the British Empire.
Revolutionaries disciplined by the creed of "Nimitta Mantra" the belief that man is merely an instrument, executing a divine will already ordained. Once this truth was embraced, fear ceased to exist. In Bengal Dharma awakened in its fiercest form and answered the colonial rule with fire.
Similarly in India in 1699, under Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, a Muslim official attacked the Devi Patan Mandir looting its wealth, smashing idols, and desecrating the sanctum of the Goddess. Temple guards Sumer Dhar and Mul Chand captured the official, put him to death, and buried his body near the temple premises.
After that, as a kind of retribution for defiling the Temple of the Goddess, Hindu pilgrims regularly sacrificed pigs and poured their blood on this t0mb to desecrate it. So that his spirit never gets rest or is freed but instead is continuously disturbed. Every year, a religious fair was organised, and desecration of the tomb of the Mslm was carried out by Hindus.
Every year, a religious fair was held where the tomb of the Mslim official was deliberately defiled by Hindu devotees. Suckling pigs were brought to the tank north of the temple, dipped three times in its waters, then sacrificed. Their blood was poured over the grave as a calculated act of desecration.
This ritualized humiliation became a fixed and enduring practice of the Devi Patan Temple meant to deny the offender peace even in death and to serve as a lasting reminder of the violation of the Goddess’s sanctuary.
Hindus from all castes traditionally participated in animal sacrifices offered to the Goddess.
Historical records note that during a fair in 1871, sacrifices were conducted over ten days, during which approximately 20 buffaloes, 250 goats, and 250 pigs were offered each day.
“If I cannot sing Vande Mataram on the radio, then I shall not sing any other song on the radio either.”
True to his word, he boycotted radio broadcasts for several years. He refused to compromise and continued his protest until the injustice meted out to Vande Mataram was finally removed.
Such was the courage and conviction of the great musician, Master Krishnarao, a name that deserves to be remembered by all.
A Mslm Director of the Bombay station of All India Radio, Mr. Bukhari, refused to grant permission to Krishnarao Ji to sing Vande Mataram. When Krishnarao Ji attempted to sing it nonetheless, Mr. Bukhari ordered the microphone to be switched off. Deeply hurt by this act, Master Krishnarao vowed that he would not sing any other song on the radio thereafter.
Jawaharlal Nehru once stated that Vande Mataram could not be adopted as the National Anthem because it could not be set to a suitable band tune.
In response, Master Krishnarao composed a melody for Vande Mataram that was so simple and powerful that even an ordinary person could sing it. Through years of dedication and struggle, he became widely known as “Vande Mataram Krishnarao.”
The only privilege she ever had was not her "Brahmin caste" it was a husband who believed in her. Gopalrao Joshi stood by her when the world didn’t. He taught her English and Sanskrit at home, because her family had already lost everything before her marriage.
They had no money for a missionary school. They tried but the price demanded was her faith. Convert to Christianity, or no education. She refused.
Even under crushing social backlash, Gopalrao still dared to contact the missionaries for help to study in the U.S. The response was the same: convert first, opportunity later. They rejected the condition.
His letter exposing this was published in the Princeton Missionary Review and it was this very letter that caught the eye of Mrs. Theodicia Carpenter.
Mrs. Theodicia Carpenter didn’t ignore that letter, she answered it. Anandibai began writing to her, calling her “Mavashi” (an aunt, a guide) sharing with her the soul of India: its culture, its rituals, its womanhood.
In 1883, at just 19 years old, Anandibai Joshi boarded a ship from Calcutta to New York alone. A young Indian woman crossing the seas for education was unthinkable. But she did it anyway.
She earned admission to the Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania, one of the only places in the world then even willing to teach medicine to women.
In 1886, she achieved what society swore she never would, she became Dr. Anandi Gopal Joshi, receiving her medical degree. She returned to India and was appointed Physician-in-Charge of the Women’s Ward at Albert Edward Hospital, Kolhapur, the first Indian woman to do so.
Quite easy to call her "Privileged" without knowing the suffering and brutality she survived.
Whenever Anandi Gopal Joshi, walked to school while neighbors spat on her. She studied under a roof where stones were hurled at her. Why? Because she refused to bow. She refused to convert. She refused to surrender her identity for acceptance.
Debunking the Historicity of ‘Bandi Chhodh Divas’ 🧵
Sikh Gurus Never Used the Term ‘Bandi Chhodh’. There is no trace, none whatsoever of the term “Bandi Chhodh” in early Sikh text or historical record from the time of Guru Hargobind Sahib or the Gurus before him contains this phrase.
The absence of the term "Bandi Chor" in primary sources exposes its anachronistic origin, indicating that “Bandi Chhodh Divas” is a retrospective construct, coined centuries later invention, not something contemporary to Guru Hargobind’s life or writings.
The Origin of the Story Is Lifted from Kabir Granthavali.
The famous tale of Guru Hargobind "freeing 52 kings" is not of Sikh origin. Its earliest form appears in the Kabir Granthavali, where Sant Kabir is said to have liberated 52 princes imprisoned by the Sultan of Balkh.
This liberation motif was later absorbed into Sikh tradition, with Guru Hargobind cast in Kabir’s role. The parallels are unmistakable a spiritual figure, a tyrant, and a mass freeing of captives. The story of Bandi Chhodh is, therefore, a borrowed legend, not an authentic Sikh-era account.
Persian Historical Records Tell a Different Story about the release of Guru Hargobind Ji.
Persian court chronicles do confirm Guru Hargobind Sahib’s imprisonment and subsequent release, but the popular liberation tale of "releasing 52 kings" finds no place in these early records.
There is no reference whatsoever to 52 kings or any mass emancipation. Instead, the Mughal emperor is portrayed as releasing Guru Hargobind out of royal clemency, not in response to protest, miracle, or strategic maneuver.
This silence in the earliest and most credible contemporary accounts exposes the later Bandi Chhodh narrative for what it is, a myth layered onto history, not history itself.
Do you know we lost POJK on this day due to the treachery of Mslms soldiers in the Kashmir Army?
On the night of October 15, Tharochi Fort stood surrounded, two JAK battalions, one Gorkha company and one Mslm company held their ground against a wave of raiders.
Brigadier Chhattar Singh sent Major Nasarullah Khan to resupply the fort with ammunition. But what was supposed to be a reinforcement mission turned into a deadly betrayal. Nasarullah deployed the Mslm company, told the Gorkhas to rest, and secretly plotted with Mslm officers.
And at night they butcheπed the sleeping Gorkhas!
Only two Gorkhas and 30 other ranks managed to escape that night’s massacre.Captain Prem Singh wasn’t killed in battle, he was strangled to death by traitors in uniform.
But the nightmare didn’t end there.
On the very next night, the Mslm forces repeated their betrayal. The unsuspecting Gorkhas of Captain Raghubir Singh, who trusted their brothers-in-arms, were murdered in cold blood cut down not by enemies at the gate, but by those standing beside them.
In August 1947, the British handed Gilgit back to the Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir. Brigadier Ghansara Singh was appointed Governor tasked with holding this crucial frontier. But inside Gilgit, a storm was already brewing. The Gilgit Scouts and Mslm officers of 6 J&K Infantry wanted Gilgit to be handed over to Pakistan.
The battalion itself was dangerously divided, two companies of Punjabi Mslms, one of Dogras, and one of Sikhs. While loyal soldiers held their post, the Mslm officers conspired with Mr. Brown, the British Commandant of Gilgit Scouts, to betray the Maharaja’s flag.
On 31 Oct 1947 they surrounded the Governor's residence & gave ultimatum "to surrender within 15 min, else every non Mslm will be converted to Islm or klled".
