Yesterday, I saw a number of pictures of a man referred to as a “Fake Bishop”who is also a plumber “apprehended” presumably by supporters of Presidential Candidate of the @NgLabour Party candidate, @PeterObi in a market in Dei Dei neighbourhood of Abuja. His offence? He (1/8)

(2/8) was accused of appearing as a “fake bishop” at the unveiling event of @officialABAT VP, Alhaji Shettima also in Abuja weeks ago.
I was particularly shocked that some highly respected persons on Facebook/WhatsApp/@Twitter & elsewhere celebrated this mob action against this

(3/8) particular Nigerian. Since the advent of this election cycle we’ve seen and observed a heightened level of harassment of citizens via death threats, arson threats, verbal and now physical abuse against those who happen not to support @PeterObi’s candidacy.

you ran for office for the first time in 1992 as a presidential aspirant of the SDP, I also ran for the post of the SU President of the UNILAG, you lost , I won. You left, I stayed, to deliver democracy to Nigerians.

I then left for the US in 1999 at the age of 28. You went on to become the VP of Nigeria, you left Nigerians in darkness after spending $16billion on power, I stayed with Nigerians, shining light on the mess you and your boss created in that sector. You left, I stayed!

When I learned of the death of Chief Ernest Shonekan today at the age of 85. I could not hold my anger at the reporting (including at Sahara Reporters) that claimed he was a “Nigerian leader.”
