I HATE boring Portfolio Projects โ€“ so do 98.6% of hiring managers in data!

Here's 3 portfolio project mistakes that lead to boredom:

Stop using common Kaggle competition datasets like the Titanic survival dataset, or 'textbook' datasets like IRIS or MNIST hand-writing dataset.

Instead, try to scrape your own dataset, look for rare datasets on Kaggle, or use Google Dataset Search!

Stop publishing a big mess of code with no README or TL;DR.

Instead, make a summary GIF, infographic, Tableau dashboard, so a hiring manager can quickly grasp why your project is so cool & interesting.

After all, a picture is worth a 1000 words!
