Here we go!

[Heads up, this thread is going to be focused on achieving $10k in 3 months and nothing else]

The first thing you are gonna need to do is figure out some shit you can build.

For this I am going to turn to @ahrefs

Listen, I have built 2 SaaS companies valued at $4 million dollars and the hardest part is..... SALES!

Since I am lazy I am gonna make my life easier with this build.

Inside of @ahrefs I am going to search "Google"

I am searching Google because their customers are easy to target and likely have a TON of questions since Google offers ZERO customer support.

Looking at the list below a few product interest me
- Docs (14m)
- Sheets (2.8m)
- Forms (1.1m)
- Gmail (60m)

Let's dig deeper

Starting with Google Docs...
Attached are the questions people are asking

Notice all the GREEN🟩? Those are easy wins!

The main question that jumps out to me...
"How to add a Ssignature to Google Docs"

Idea: Docusgin for Google Docs

Ok let's look at Google Sheets...

Again, a LOT of green squares here!

Currently we use @airtable for @median and I LOVE it!
Not shocked that drop downs are in high demand with Google.

Idea: Plugin that makes Sheets more like Airtable

Heads up, we are going to SKIP Google Forms...

I personally LOVE Google Forms but the most searched term get 1,200 visits a month... Which is too low.

Next up, a crowd favorite... Gmail!!

According to the image below, it looks like there is some serious demand for managing SPAM in Gmail.

Idea: Chrome extension that creates Hotkeys in Gmail, specifically blocking users

@Superhuman got famous for this!

Now we have 3 rather easy ideas.

- Docusign for Docs
- Airtable for Sheets
- Hotkeys for Gmail

NOTE: GMass (Mail Merge for Gmail) does $5.4 million in ARR! Congrats! @PartTimeSnob

TIP: Products that make people money are easier to sell.

So let's build option 1.

According to Google's Support website this product already exists... 😔

SHIT! I guess we should quit...

The product is TOTAL shit which would explain all the searches!!

Also, following the the support docs above... This features doesn't even exist in Docs... Oh the LIES! haha

Let's build...

Hey, it's gonna take some time to hire and build a SaaS tool.

And we want revenue and leads NOW!

Since SALES is the hardest part, I am gonna buy a website template for Webflow and start replacing images and text.

Speed is all that maters right now.

On the website I am going to CLEARLY STATE that we are building a digital signature tool for Google Docs.

If you sign up NOW you can have LIFE TIME ACCESS (LTD) for $150 one time.

I would also include wire frames, testimonials, and social proof we can be trusted.

Then I am going to build 10 landing pages titled:
- How to insert signature in Google docs
- How to sign in Google docs
- etc

All of the landing pages are going to have a @stripe check out.

NOTE: @heyjasperai is valued over $1 billion dollars and still use a @stripe checkout

Now you might be thinking "Spencer, how we gonna build this shit?"

We are NOT... or at least not yet.

We have YET to prove anyone actually wants it!
(Lot of failed entrepreneurs are butt hurt right now)

Here is what we are going to do.

Google Docs has:
14m Searches a month
13.5 million Insta followers
160,000 Twitter followers
55,000 FB followers

Can you guess what we are going to do here?

That's right Ads baby!

I am going to pop onto @canva and bang out some Ads specific for every channel.

We are going to target ONLY people who follow Google Docs. Spend $1k

The goal is to get 67 customers for UNDER $150 per click. ($10,000)

Considering the massive numbers above... This will be easy!

NOTE: My buddy @umar482 spend $50 for his app GoogleMeetRecord[.]com and got 1,700 customers in 10 days using ONLY search.

Once we have $10,000 plus in our pocket and hopfully 100+ customers waiting for a product.

I am turning to @Upwork and submitting a job description.

Title: Google Docs Developer

Description: Looking to hire an experienced developer to build a Google Docs plugin. The plugin will need to have a user management portal integrated with Stripe and be able to send emails. Open to using prebuilt tools for management and emailing.

Budget: $5,000
Payment: Half up front and half on completion

TIP: Build the bare minimum! Don't add any extra features.

I should get about 25 applicants. I will interview the ones who look like good fits and hire the one that communicates the BEST!

Expectation, I should have an app in 45 days or less.

In the mean time I will still be running Ads to generate revenue.

then I will reach out to @AppSumo and schedule a promotion.

Knowing @noahkagan and @AppSumo I bet we could clear $50k in take home revenue.

But Spencer..

There is no clear path to $10k MRR...

Read the title I never made that promise! 😜

But I hear yah, MRR is all that matters!

At this point we are likely in month 2.
AppSumo takes time (too much time) and we need real rev!

Time to turn off the LTD pricing. 😔

So far we spent $1k of our own money (Ads).
We made $10k the first month in Sales.
We invested $5k in dev.
Leaving us with less than $4k (thanks Stripe).

Hopefully at this point we have an idea what is cost to convert someone from Ad to customer (CAC).

So. MORE Ads!

We need MRR!

Panda Docs - $50 per user per month
Hello Sign - $35 per user per month
Docusign - $25 per user per month

(All billed annually)

Guess what!?! Our pricing is as follows

GD Signature - $20 per user per month
(Billed Annually)

Did you read that fine print?!?!

We are billing Annually!

Guess what, we already know what is cost to land a customer!

Soooo, we only have to do it for under $240!

Game time!

In order to hit $10k MRR we will need 500 customers.

That is NO small number!

While the Ads are running I am going to drop into every facebook group ever created and ask...

"who do you recommend for digital signatures? and why?"

[Insert shit eating grin]

"Would you like to try GDSigniture[.]com? We are cheaper and easier! PLUS we have a free X day trial"

And from here, I have a company... Time to grind it out!
