𧡠On the 14th August columnist for @wapo & former @nytimes Tech Reporter @TaylorLorenz wrote the article "Trying to make it big online? Getting signed isn't everything!" chronicling the experiences of former clients of Influences (now defunct) 2/ πgoogle.com/amp/s/www.nytiβ¦
The article raised serious allegations about Ari Jacob (owner of Influences who had approx. 87 clients on her roster) such as, using predatory & shady business prΓ‘ctices to procure deals with these rising stars, not having a license etc. 3/π 
The allegations was so wild that it included claims such as unsanitary living conditions in the living spaces for Ms. Jacob's clients known as "content houses" where its alleged they didn't have showers, WiFi as well as Ari Jacob allegely leaking nudes! 4/
Just to give a preview of how wild these claims are, here is a snippet of the amended complaint that @littlemissjacob presented in the bid to overcome @TaylorLorenz anti-slapp motion! It was claimed that cameras were installed without consent π¨ 5/

Furthermore, if not only one of the influencers claim they didn't give consent or knew cameras were installed, the @nytimes knew that it was standard practice as one of their photographers visited the premises prior to the article being published. 6/ π
There are plenty more coming in the part 3 of this damning case that is highlighting just how little care these renaissance styled "journalists" have for factual reporting, using serious social issues as leverage to boost their profiles. 7/
One thing I will say & its important! This is NOT a signal to distrust the MSM, we need reporters, journalist & columnists to provide the news for us, that's clear. What this IS however is a SIGNAL to hold them to the standards they have clearly deviated from! Thanks for reading!
