In the book of Joel 2:18-27; Israel is in trouble, under constant threat from their enemies, under the threat of drought, invasion from locusts; the land is ruined, the people are demoralized.
The trials awakened a nation & called them back to the place of prayer, the people gathered in corporate prayer a& fasting and God declares his response to their prayers.
God declares the same to us today: to you personally; and to this Nation: @NickKorir #RaisingTheFlag
As we begin enter this new month of June, here's an encouraging word from Rev. @NickKorir :
When Scars Speak
Many of us despise our scars and spend much of our lives hiding them because they seem unattractive, an oddity.
However, some are proud of their scars; because they speak of courage & show others what they’ve endured.
Jesus came & stood among them & said,‘Peace be with you.’When he said this, he showed his hands & his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord
John 20:19b-20
The disciples recognized Jesus when they saw his scars. Thomas needed to feel the Lord’s nail wounds to verify that the risen Savior was before him.
Jesus didn’t need to have scars on his resurrected body. His body could have been perfect, unblemished, unscarred.
