Some Background:

$ASML is in the business of lithography, the process that creates semiconductors.

EPS is the measure of a company’s profits relative to each share outstanding.

• Helps you determine the profitability of your shares
• Helps forecast future profitability
• Can be diluted by stock based compensation

Use EPS to value company earnings.

2) Free Cash Flow

FCF is the cash left over after a company pays for its operating expenses and capital expenditures.

• It can exploit hidden problems in a business
• It can show you a company’s profitability trends

Use FCF to find how much money a company really keeps.
