There are some very nicely priced defenders in World Cup Fantasy, and I hope I can make the case for at least one of them if not two. Please let me know if you have a different opinion on what I say. Before any further ado, let's get into it ⬇️

Ronald Araujo 🇺🇾 (3.5m) TSB: 3.95%

Fixtures- 🇰🇷, 🇵🇹, 🇬🇭

Araujo faces a race against time to be available for the WC, but if he is available for MD1, he definitely has to be considered at his low price. He is a definite starter if available and offers attacking threat from...

set pieces. He showed this when scoring 4 goals in La Liga last season. Although the fixtures in the group aren't the easiest, they might have a chance of a CS against both South Korea and Ghana, especially if the former are missing star man Son. Uruguay have kept CS in 4/5 games

Rasmus Kristensen 🇩🇰 (4m) TSB: 1.08%

also has already scored for Poland, which shows he is as comfortable in the final third. He faces Saudi Arabia in MD1, who haven't found the net in 3 of their last 5 games, so I imagine CS odds will be high for that game. Mexico and Argentina will provide sterner opposition

Josko Gvardiol 🇭🇷 (4m) TSB: 4.67%

I think the talented RB Leipzig CB will start at the WC and could prove a great cheap option. Originally I preferred Borna Sosa for 0.5m less, but he's definitely not worth the risk as xMins is an issue. Therefore...

Gvardiol is the best option. He has played more often than not for his club, including 4 starts in the CL. He does offer very little attacking threat, but could gain points elsewhere via tackles made, (etc.).They have a couple of tough group fixtures but could still get a CS or 2

Ali Maaloul 🇹🇳 (3.5m) TSB: 2.03%

From what I hear, Maaloul is expected to start at the WC and he could prove a very exciting option at his price and what he offers going forward. He is on corners and some free kicks as well. Gives us all an extra cheap...

defender to fund the likes of Messi, Kane, Neymar and Mbappe up front. Maaloul plays his club football with Al Alhy and has already got 2 assists this season. Doesn't sound too shabby at all for just 3.5 million. Talbi is also 4m and is nailed at CB for Tunisia
