GOOD MORNING!

Wisconsin polls are OPEN. Have you voted? Vote.

Then use every remaining second till the polls close at 8pm to drive up turnout.

Wisconsin’s elections are tied. You can’t control the outcome. But you can decide what YOU do.

So, here’s what you can do. 1/
KNOCK ON DOORS.

Specifically: Sign up for a canvassing shift.

Does the prospect of total Republican control make you feel sick? Don’t take tums. Organize.

mobilize.us/wisdems/?date=…
Every time I’ve knocked on doors this fall, I’ve met at least one voter who either wasn’t sure if they’d vote or wasn’t sure whom they’d vote for—but by the end of the conversation, committed to voting for Democrats.

Nothing feels better than those conversations.
Find your local canvass launches—they’re happening everywhere in Wisconsin, throughout the day—and sign up at this. Be an ambassador for democracy.

Can’t knock? Call voters. You can do this from anywhere. You can call a LOT of people in the 13 hours before polls close.

If you’re out of state but want to help save democracy in our tipping-point state (and by extension, in our country), start here: mobilize.us/wisdems/event/…
If you’re in Wisconsin, can’t knock, but can call voters, DO IT. Sign up here: mobilize.us/wisdems/event/…
And! The most important voters you text and call are the ones you already know.

Study after study confirms what we've all experienced: we're vastly more responsive to people we have relationships with.

There's an app for that. Install Reach here:

app.reach.vote/join/PU56CK
The great thing about this app, Reach, is that—when you use this download link—you can tell which of your friends has already voted. So you can focus your time on the people who still need a reminder. This is the highest-impact thing you can do today.

app.reach.vote/join/PU56CK
That link will work specifically for identifying which of your *Wisconsin* friends has voted.

If you're turning out voters anywhere else—check if your state party has a relational voting tool.

If not... just go through the contacts on your phone and ask everyone to vote!
You've voted. You've called. You've knocked. You've texted your friends.

What else?

Contact your county party chair and ask how else you can help.

This is go time.

Have voting questions?

Friends curious about absentee ballots or same-day registration?

Call our Voter Assistance Hotline at 608-336-3232. Tell your friends. That's 608-DEM-3232. Experts are standing by.

And check your registration & ballot status at:
myvote.wi.gov
Oh, and when someone promises to you that they're gonna vote... ask them to text three friends and ask THEM to vote. Ask them who they're going to contact. The act of thinking through it makes it more likely they'll follow through.
This could be a looooong night. Once the polls close at 8pm, there's nothing else you'll be able to do. Make the best use of all the time between now and then—so that, no matter what happens, you know you did all you could do.

This is go time.

#VoteBlueToday.

Spread the word.

🧵A supermajority for the GOP in the state legislature would be absolutely disastrous for Wisconsin—and the GOP is *close.* To stop them, electing Clinton Anderson to the 45th district is a necessity. Help in our final push for Clinton—chip in here!
secure.actblue.com/donate/clinton…
The GOP’s gerrymandering-fueled quest for state legislative supermajorities in Wisconsin—meaning 2/3 of seats in a 50-50 state—is terrifyingly real. Read this story to get a sense of what supermajorities here would look like:
nytimes.com/2022/11/04/us/…
Mark Spreitzer, the current Rep from the 45th AD, is running for State Senate. He’s been in this seat since 2014, and the district has been consistently Democratic.

However, under the new maps, that could change—unless we go all-in to elect Clinton Anderson in 3 days.

🧵 Wisconsin’s gerrymander puts the GOP close to supermajorities in both state legislative chambers. But new maps, despite a huge R tilt, open new opportunities—and Nate Jurowski is running to flip the once-red 21st Assembly District. Help @NateforAD21! secure.actblue.com/donate/nathan-…
The newly-drawn 21st Assembly District (Oak Creek, Milwaukee, and Franklin) is less R-tilted than the old one. We have a shot. And Nathan Jurowski is a great match for the district.
Nathan’s an attorney who knows how important union jobs are to Wisconsin, thanks to his background as an Executive Director of Building Advantage.

He’s been a public defender and now works to protect employees’ rights.

MARVEL CAST MEMBERS UNITE TO SAVE DEMOCRACY: @WisDems and @TheOtherMandela are assembling a team of superheroes to help Democrats up and down the ballot win in Wisconsin! RSVP to this special livestream and read on for who you’ll be joined by:
The elections here in Wisconsin are too important to sit out—so we’re extra pumped to have a born-and-raised Wisconsinite, Kenosha’s very own @MarkRuffalo, leading us in our mission. You may know him as Bruce Banner or The Hulk. On Sunday night, he’ll help us get out the vote! Image
As seen in the Iron Man and Avengers films, @DonCheadle aka Col. James Rhodes aka War Machine will be with us for our The Marvel Cast Unites to Save Democracy event—and help us elect Mandela Barnes and downballot Democrats in Wisconsin! Image

I've been on the road with WI Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul for the last couple of days, and Josh has been telling a story at campaign stops that is keeping me up tonight—about what our state looks like now, post-Roe. It's something an OB-GYN told him. 1/
Josh says the OB-GYN told him that she's seeing parents come in for visits about planned pregnancies—visits that, previously, were among the greatest joys in her work. The 20-week ultrasounds, where you count fingers and toes. If you're a parent, you remember those visits. I do.
Some parents are coming in to those visits terrified. Because of what it might mean if there's a complication that they didn't expect. Because they have kids at home already. Because there's no exception in Wisconsin's abortion ban, passed in 1849, for the health of the parent.

🧵If Republicans win ONE Wisconsin state Senate seat, they’ll get a supermajority in that chamber. On Wisconsin’s northern rim, in the open 25th Senate District, electing Kelly Westlund is absolutely essential. Chip in and read on!
secure.actblue.com/donate/kelly-w…
Folks who know just a little about Wisconsin politics often think of Northern Wisconsin as red. But the northern rim’s been blue—for a long time. Retiring Sen. Janet Bewley won by just 2.2% in 2018. Under new maps, the district is even tougher. So this race is intense.
Kelly Westlund is exactly who we need to elect to represent this Senate district—and her opponent, Romaine Quinn, is exactly who northern Wisconsin *doesn’t* need to send to Madison.
