This came as one of the accused officers, Stephen Cheburet, complained of ill health and bad prison food.
Cheburet wants the court to direct @kenyaprisons authorities to serve him milk, potatoes and cabbage.
Justice Jessie Lessit, now a judge of the Court of Appeal, found them guilty of killing rights lawyer Willie Kimani, his client Josephat Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri on June 23, 2016.

Details are now emerging of the plot that culminated in the demolition of Niraj Shah’s home and the eviction of his family from their land in Nairobi. - @NationAfrica
Investigations by @NationAfrica now reveal that the scheme to kick out Mr Shah, a Kenyan of British origin, and his wife, Avani, a Kenyan citizen, started in 2015 when suspected fraudsters halted the issuing of a land rate receipt to Shah, 54.
It was set in motion last week when senior @NPSOfficial_KE officers slapped the family with a fake court order.

Among the very first red flags that SGR project was to be bulldozed by all means necessary despite its huge economic ramifications was the exclusion of key players in government from its planning. - @NationAfrica

This was not even the most shocking aspect of the secrecy of the project that would saddle Kenyans with a Sh417B debt to China for the Mombasa-Nairobi leg alone.

While @NPSOfficial_KE say the shooting was a case of mistaken identity, a Pakistani government official said the incident is being treated as murder, though he added that investigations are ongoing.
The Independent Policing Oversight Authority @IPOA_KE said yesterday that investigations show police officers were involved in the killing.
