The first Government of 1957, led by EMS, is often pointed out as such an ideal Government. Going by that claim, we might believe that these media houses were supportive of the Government’s initiatives to correct many historic injustices back then.
But, a look at the media behaviour during that Government’s short-lived tenure of two years and three months, illustrates that they were even more vicious in their attacks with a load of fake claims and played a key role in drumming up support for ‘Vimochana Samram’
