We have a few volunteer opportunities available, however, we are in dire need of emergency transport drivers 🚗 💨 for life or death situations in the current areas:👇
⛔️Within 2 hours of Atlanta, GA
⛔️Within 2 hours of Winnsboro, SC
⛔️Within 1-2 hrs of NYC/NJ
We also need a transport coordinator who understands how to use Google maps and thrives in communications.
These are emergency 🚨 positions where every minute counts.👇
For drivers it's usually 2-4 hours a week if you are available for certain emergency calls. For the remote 💻 transport coordinator it's 4-5 hours a week.
All volunteer roles contribute to changing our animals’ lives in different ways. These transports are life-saving—👇
sometimes removing animals from dangerous situations or racing to the ER from shelter. Transport drivers use their own vehicle to chauffeur dogs on their journey. You can commit whatever time you are able to in this critical role. Must have a clean license, reliable vehicle,👇
large and small dog experience and a leash. Crate, even better.
If you are unable to help, please share this post or tag decent people in the areas listed above .
We need you, our animals need you, and we'd love for you to join our lifesaving mission!👇
It's not only a life changing experience - it's good karma points.
Even Olympic Athletes Have False Starts!🏆❤️🐶
Popsicle is back and ready to start meeting and greeting. He was returned after 26 hours because the people who adopted him decided to ignore The Two Week Shutdown.👇
Instead, they put him in high pressure situations and expected him to “deal with it." Folks, we have been doing this for many years now with measurable success. We work with some of the best trainers and have developed a plan for success for our dogs.👇
For a moment let's think about what these dogs have endured. They were in a home and even though it was most likely not a great home, it's the only home they knew. Then ripped away and hauled off to an overcrowded shelter with 24/7 chaos and death in the air.👇
Do you have room in your heart and home for me?❤️🐶
Cantaloupe aka Canty is one cool and laid-back dog with the best personality! She's a 3-year-old mixed breed dog and she weighs 24 lbs. She loves playing and sitting on laps!👇
Cantaloupe has Addison’s disease, aka hypoadrenocorticism. Addison’s disease occurs when the adrenal glands fail to produce the hormones that are in charge of the body. Her body is unable to produce glucocorticoids & mineralocorticoids, specifically aldosterone & cortisol.👇
Fortunately, with proper treatment, dogs diagnosed with Addison’s disease are expected to have normal lifespans. Thanks to Dr. Terry and her team, Cantaloupe has received treatment and her levels are stable. She will require lifelong medication management.

Prairie Dog has the best smile! He loves life and would love to be part of yours!❤️🐶
He is missing a back leg but don't tell him that missing a leg hinders his ability to live life to the fullest.👇
Prairie Dog has no idea that there's anything slowing him down. He's full of energy and his sweet demeanor will keep your heart full all day long. He's highly social with humans and dogs and loves so good scratches behind his ears while he gazes into your eyes.👇
Yes, he does get the zoomies and is always up for a walking adventure. He is around 2 years old and weighs 65 lbs. He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He is just like any other dog - just missing a back leg.

UPDATE-DUMPSTER BABIES:
Before we update you on these two preemies, we wanted to thank our bottle feeding foster family who stepped in and took the place of their missing mama. This is not an easy task, bottle feeding newborns requires 24 hour care. 👇
They need to be kept warm to maintain heir body temperatures, and bottle feed every hour and then stimulated to peep and poop. Mari told us her family takes shifts feeding in between quick naps. It takes a special person to bottle feed puppies and👇
we are grateful to Mari and her family for saying YES and helping us save these puppies.
These two are holding steady. The end of "Little Foot's" paw dried up and has fallen off which is what the vet was hoping for. Once he is old enough that leg will be amputated. 👇
No Bones About It, Cantaloupe is a SPOOKTACULAR pup! 👻She's over the moon excited to help her foster mom pass out candy this Halloween! She is one cool and laid-back dog with the best personality! She's a 3-year-old mixed-breed dog and she weighs 24 lbs.👇

🆘 🚨We have a very serious emergency with this poor girl who was found a week ago and her owners have not come to get her. Sukkah was found on the side of the road unable to walk after being slammed by a car.👇
She was rushed to AC, scanned for a chip and her owners contacted to come to pick up their dog. Hours passed by and nobody came for her, AC couldn't wait any longer to get her help and they rushed her to the ER.👇
X-rays revealed that Sukkah suffered a broken hip as a result of the hit, she was returned to the shelter where she has been waiting a week for her owners to come to get her.
The shelter does not have the resources to help these dogs and Sukkah must leave the shelter today.👇
