With improvements ranging from the explorer section and creator side to different other functionalities.

Becoming modular plugins that can be easily integrated into any interface, thus improving the dev experience.

.@SasuRobert took the X Day stage to share an overview on the @ElrondNetwork execution layer.

Featuring perhaps the fastest VM in the space, along with other noteworthy components that make up our internet-scale architecture.

2/ The Elrond WASM VM compounded significant improvements over time.

More specifically, 10x in terms of SC interactions that can be accommodatable, reduction of execution times & costs.

All thanks to Ahead of time compilation, Warm instance and Gas schedule v4 implementations.

3/ Which led us to a performance of 3k swaps per second using the @MaiarExchange SCs.

And the improvements don't stop here.

In the upcoming period, optimizations on Warm instances and the upgraded version of Wasmer will bring another 5x.

Sovereign Chains.

A powerful extension of our mainnet, announced by @AdrianDobrita during his presentation at X Day, through which products will be able to set up their own @ElrondNetwork shard-like blockchain to gain superior performance.

2/ Before going more into detail, let’s briefly touch on the other major points discussed.

When it went live, our internet-scale protocol brought a 1000-fold improvement in scalability and transaction cost over existing architectures.

3/ Now, 2 years later, it is capable of 30k TPS in the current network setup (and can scale beyond 100k).

This is mainly thanks to scheduled transactions & partial miniblock execution.

Also, the recently introduced heartbeat V2 feature provided a 70% improvement in efficiency.
