#Zhongchi #鍾タル another fluff idea where smol dragon!Zhongli x Childe.

So, Zhongli wants to propose to Childe. But first, he has to get his family’s consent to do so. He suggested to Childe that maybe they should go visit his family in Snezhnaya and his lover agreed happily.

Zhongli thought it was going to be a fun trip. Oh how wrong he was. It was so damn cold and as a reptile, the cold just made things so much worse.

Everyday he’d have runny nose and sneeze a lot. He could wear multiple layers of clothes and still be cold. Zhongli was thankful

that Childe’s family was understanding and agreed to their marriage. Things could have been a lot worse.

All their vacation plans needed a change because Zhongli would transform into a small dragon and hide in Childe’s coat.

And everytime someone tries to hit on Childe, an

angry, grumpy little dragon would stick his head out and hiss at the person.

And whenever he was called a pet, well, let’s just say the people who said that probably went home traumatised when the little dragon became a big one.

Zhongli also had to resist the urge to just go

into hibernation mode just because he’s so cold. It was an instinct to sleep through the winter. It was terribly annoying when he randomly starts dozing off in the middle of a conversation.

They eventually found a solution which was either lots of coffee or lots of sugar.

But they still had a great time sight seeing and eating the good food Snezhnaya had to offer. Zhongli even managed to see what Childe’s office looked like in Snezhnaya.

And then one morning, Childe woke up to Zhongli curled around his hand. It was a strange position to adopt.

With his free hand, he gently stroke Zhongli’s back. His amber eyes opened lazily and looked up at Childe.

“Good morning, Xiansheng.”

Zhongli hissed, which Childe took as a greeting.

“Could you get off my hand, please?”

Zhongli seem to hesitate for a moment before slowly

uncurling himself, revealing a beautiful cor lapis ring fitted on Childe’s ring finger.

“Oh-?” Childe tilted his head, looking at the ring and back at Zhongli. “Is this your way of proposing?”

Zhongli nodded, looking at Childe expectantly, waiting for an answer.

“Did you plan this all along? Was this why you want to meet my family and send them so many gifts, you cheeky little dragon?”

Zhongli nodded again.

Childe laughed softly, he should’ve known when Zhongli started acting strangely. “Well then, do you want to ask me the question?”

There was a soft poof and the little dragon turned into a human amidst the gold cloud.

“Baobei— aachoo!— My dear Ajax, will you marry— aachoo! —me?” Zhongli said between sneezes.

Childe jumped at Zhongli, hugging him tight as they both fell down onto the bed. “Yes, Zhongli.

Yes I will.”

Zhongli smiled as he sniffled. “Maybe I should have waited until we were back in Liyue before proposing.”

“Why?”

“It’s not as romantic when I’m— achoo!— constantly sneezing and having runny nose.” Zhongli sighed. “I underestimated the cold.”

Childe chuckled and

shook his head, “I think it’s fine. It’s cute.”

Zhongli looked at Childe’s goofy but adorable smile and felt his heart melt. “I love you so much, Ajax.”

“I love you too, Zhongli.”

When they had their wedding in Liyue, Pantalone was shaking. Firstly, Dottore had already went over his budget in Sumeru. Now Childe is holding this lavish and grand wedding which is going to exceed his budget. The banker is furious.
