The Embracer CEO, Lars Wingefors, being vague about the future Tolkien IP via Middle-earth Enterprises. 1/ variety.com/2022/film/globโฆ
From the article - "Wingefors noted during his presentation that Embracer now has four licensed โLord of the Ringsโ games in production with external developers."
Those could be: 2/
1] Daedalic - LOTR: Gollum (still in development - PC/console game)
2] Free Range Games - LOTR: Return to Moria (2023 release - PC/console game)

Let's talk about Elon. This is the world's richest man, who claims to be in touch with people like you and I. He's mates with right wing nutjobs like The Trump. He retweets rw nutjob conspiracy theories. 1/
He's creepy-breaks employer/employee etiquette by having a child with someone he promotes in his workplace whilst his partner is due their own child. He swaggers into his new work with a sink, knowing full well he's going to crap on a lot of workers there soon. 2/
He has publicly supported people in the past who are openly anti-LGBT+. racist and misogynistic. His talk of "free speech" is to give access to such rhetoric again 3/
It's become clear, over the last few days, that there is confusion regarding the various entities involved with Tolkien. So I'm post this thread to clarify some details. I'll go chronologically as much as I can. 1/16
The first entity is the Tolkien Estate. This is Tolkien's family. Christopher was head of the Estate, he stepped down from that position just before we sadly lost him. They own the book rights and anything else, except those stated below. Website: tolkienestate.com/en/home.html 2/16
I'll take more about the Estate after I introduce two more entities, both appearing in 1969. 3/16
Dear Tolkien community (@TolkienSociety, @theoneringnet), if you are to hold a debate about anything, please make sure you actually understand and have knowledge of your subject before you live broadcast. 1/2
Exhibit (a):
@TolkienSociety@theoneringnet Otherwise you end up embarrassing yourselves like these fine upstanding Christian "men" and alleged "Great Wizards" who quite frankly have the debating skills of a fly that just embraced the windscreen of the car crash they were part of last night. 2/2
@TolkienSociety@theoneringnet As an alternative to wasting your time with puerile embarrassing efforts such as these, please check out the @TolkienSociety and their series of academic lectures and other events which show our fandom at its best. More info: tolkiensociety.org
