MAGA was disappointed in Trump's bizarre and low-energy #TrumpAnnouncement. Neither his name nor the announcement trended on Trump's failing "Truth Social" Twitter clone.

Despite hyping his announcement for weeks, Trump was unable to get people interested in yet another presidential campaign from him.

The #trumpannoucement absolutely stunk of hasty desperation. The audio was terrible. The speech was a rehash of warmed-over lies and moldy exaggerations. He couldn't even announce a campaign manager or any high-level staff. tyt.com/reports/7015be…
It was low energy and low effort. Everyone, including Trump knew it. Even Fox News cut away before the rambling and bizarre speech had ended.

Several people tried to leave before it was over but were blocked from doing so
Most humiliatingly, Trump's "very important" speech went down like a lead balloon on Truth Social, the ersatz Twitter clone he's been trying to get MAGA to use.

Most likely, the biggest reason for the disapointment was that while the #trumpannoucement speech was almost entirely a rehash of his usual boring fare, it had one big difference: He didn't repeat his lies about losing the 2020 election.

And yet, as obviously pathetic & dishonest as Trump is now seen by many Republicans, his comebacks after losing in 2020 and after January 6th demonstrate that he is still a grave threat to the country.

What's now happening in Brazil is what would have happened in the US.

While he fed the flames of violence, Trump didn't inspire it. The violent and disturbed movement that he leads created it internally.

Let's start with the fact that Musk basically offered to by Twitter as a joke. He never had a plan for Twitter. He just wanted to make a point and flash his money before Tesla's stock collapsed.

Once he was forced to buy it, he's made clear he doesn't get why people use Twitter.
Sure there are bots and fake accounts on here but the reality for most people is that bots aren't really a problem. It's pretty easy to tell that shypixie462837 is just a catfish account and that likewise MAGA3000Bible isn't worth your time.

Nearly 48 hours after he lost his re-election campaign, Jair Bolsonaro has finally acknowledged his defeat in a predictably whiny news conference. He also said that his supporters should not be blockading roads, as they have been doing over the last several days.
Bolsonaro didn't congratulate president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Afterwards, chief of staff Ciro Nogueira said he had been authorized to handle the transition for "President Lula."

No doubt that Bolsonaro wanted to follow Trump's coup plan, but he was hemmed in.
Brazil's military had proclaimed before the election that it would not play a role in adjudicating results. And police forces have not spoken in favor of an illegal Bolsonaro. Another huge factor: JB had a multiparty coalition, many of whose members gain from him leaving office.

And Bolsonaro was giving his brainwashed fans what they wanted. The Globe newspaper reported that supporters gathered outside his residence trying to pray away the election results after Lula took first place.

Like Trump, he cares nothing for the supporters he destroys mentally
Imagine thinking that the Moses myth is true and that it is directly relevant to your own life: If you just pray hard enough, you truly believe anything can happen!

Rather than admit that their religion failed them, the truly deluded turn to self flagellation or to violence.
