This is the CRAY CRAY BONKERS MCBONKERSPANTS oceanfront mansion of Hawaiian Tropic founder Ron Rice, and this is #FridayNightZillow, back for at least one more night! $5.9999M. 12K sf. Florida, of course! (Warning: Taxidermy & risqué artwork). Let's GO!🧵zillow.com/homedetails/17…?
These chairs are insane. Everything about this room is insane. Zoom in at your own risk. #FridayNightZillow
Like I said, there's a LOT of taxidermy here. And marble. And ocean. And cringe-y photos of models everywhere. #FridayNightZillow
Master bedroom has nice ocean views, velvety carpet, a crazy shoe chair and, uh, excellent TV placement. #FridayNightZillow
!!!!! This is a bathroom !!!!!
Need to ice my retinas. Be right back. #FridayNightZillow
Nice open concept shower and sweet hot tub behind the sauna. Oh, and there are mirrors on the ceiling. It's got some Florida Playboy Mansion vibes. #FridayNightZillow cc: @CocaineDecor
So you've got a pool, a hot tub and a lap pool that goes under a bridge here. And, of course, more of the risque sculptures. #FridayNightZIllow
I forgot to mention the crazy bathroom actually has 2 hot tubs. Because, yeah. Deducting points for that pink/salmon color and the black toilet. #FridayNightZillow
The listing says multiple PAST US PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES have been to this mansion. No we really need to know WHO. I mean, we can guess, but... #FridayNIghtZillow
Of course that room has a gold ceiling. It also has a glass box elevator sort of like Willy Wonka. Either you love this sort of thing or you might be experiencing a migraine right now (sorry!) #FridayNIghtZillow
On the outside it's sort of a normal mansion. But is that razor wire? #FridayNightZIllow
Apparently it wasn't razor wire, just electric cord violations. Btw, here's some backstory on the late Ron Rice, including the silver bucket he mixed Hawaiian Tropic in via @bubbaray90
Fixer-Upper of the Week. This beauty is just $35K. But it's a total gut job on the inside I'm afraid. Pulaski, Illinois, you're on #FridayNightZillow! zillow.com/homedetails/40…
This one is already pending but thought you'd like to gawk at it. $5.9M. Inspired by the Farnsworth House. They used 60 tons of steel for this thing. Dallas. #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/11…
Our Showstopper tonight is a 23BR, 15K sf Boston showpiece. The Ayer Mansion is "the only Tiffany-designed home in the world" per the listing. $14.995M. Needs more pics! #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/39…
My wife found our Showstopper tonight from her hospital bed. I hope #FridayNightZillow has been a pickmeup and break from reality for you as it has been for me. Most of the other homes tonight from my sister-in-law and tipsters.
Reminder that I've now got a Mastodon account, but haven't posted anything there yet. journa.host/@steventdennis

With Cortez Masto's win in Nevada, Democrats could actually see their margins increase by one if Warnock defeats Walker in the Georgia runoff.
An absolute disaster for Republicans who had hoped to get as many as 54 seats with an unpopular Biden and 40-year record inflation.
What's the significance of a Senate majority if the House ends up Republican?
Two words: Merrick Garland.
He would be a Supreme Court justice rather than AG today and Roe v Wade would almost certainly still be the law of the land if Ds hadn't lost the 2014 midterms.
It's going to be a really great time to be a House reporter next year.
I'd actually suggest news orgs allocate additional reporters to cover the House. It's a hard enough place to cover by yourself when there are big margins and predictable results; with razor-thin margins anybody can be Joe Manchin any time. America may hear "Thomas Massie" a lot.
On big votes, it helps if a news org has a reporter w/eyes on each of the 6-7 exits from the House to ensure you get the one person who tanked a bill, for example.
A House with a 1-3 vote margin could be an incredibly unstable thing. Members get sick. Not unusual for some to die. A couple members decide to switch parties or just vote no on the party's priorities Ron Paul-style and you have to beg Democrats for votes.
You could end up with dozens of Joe Manchins on every meaningful vote, but fewer things to bargain with w/o earmarks.
Boehner faced that problem with a larger majority and his playbook was to let the most difficult members have their way on initial House bill and then swallow whatever the Senate passed w/McConnell's blessing.
Ultimately needing Dem votes on bills to keep the govt open.
I think people haven’t fully processed what 5% interest rates will mean for the $31 trillion debt. It’s a simple math equation but it’s sort of like adding a second Defense Department worth of expenses to the budget except you get nothing in return.
When the new CBO scores come out next year I suspect you’ll see eye-popping headlines, but you can do the math for yourself right now.
The Bondholders don’t care how we got the debt (we cut taxes for 20 years while spending more). They just want to get paid.
This is a bed with *a WATERFALL* coming out of the base. And this is #FridayNightZillow! <$8M. An amazing space in an amazing city — New York City. 5BR, 5BA, ~6500 sf. Originally "a dental factory." Enjoy! zillow.com/homedetails/22…
A "drawbridge" connects too spaces in this insane loft-style building. #FridayNightZillow
The bed drains into the living room below. Don't ask me why. Some weird artist/architect thing going on here. Perfect for #FridayNightZillow
The most legendary congressional Ten Commandments moment came in 2006 when Rep. Lynn Westmoreland could not name all of the Ten Commandments in an interview with Stephen Colbert after cosponsoring a bill to display them in Congress. cc.com/video/zk7gig/t…
The Ten Commandments segment was so devastating staffers were still haunted by it and complaining to Politico four years later. politico.com/story/2010/09/…
The Ten Commandments was a hotbed of legislative effort in previous decades but not so much in recent years. congress.gov/search?q=%7B%2…
