@menchumacapagal 'Plan 75' director Chie Hayakawa on the inspiration behind the movie: The initial motivation on making this film is my anger towards social atmosphere which is becoming more and more intolerant with the socially weak people in Japan.

@menchumacapagal Hayakawa says that Filipino Japanese actress Stefanie Arianne was not the first choice for the movie. The original actress chosen for the role wasn't able to come to Japan due to travel restrictions, she adds.

@menchumacapagal Hayakawa: Actually, I knew that the chances are so slim. But after the first screening at Cannes, I had a huge response, I got a lot of press interviews and good reviews. I cannot let go of my expectations, actually.

@menchumacapagal Arianne: I think my inner child is also very happy and very proud of how far we've come. I'm really glad that I did not give up.
