In No 10 May built on Cameron’s surrender to the lobbyists by letting them now directly dictate the direction of govt policy. She platformed work carried out by the Legatum Institute in the House of Commons & appointed Shanker Singham to a govt role as a Trade Advisor. #BrexitPMs

At the behest of Legatum and Singham, May prematurely triggered Article 50, which officially started the process of leaving the EU before many of the basic options had been discussed. #BrexitPMs

Seemingly riding high on this imagined show of strength, she then called an ill-advised snap election expecting to strengthen her majority to force through her Brexit deal but she was left leading a minority government, severely weakening her own position. #BrexitPMs
