In 2017, @SecretaryLevine asked CHOP Gender Clinic Co-Founder, Nadia Dowshen, for literature to support gender confirmation surgery protocols in minors. This was the response:
“Hi Rachel, I'm not aware of existing literature but it is certainly happening.”
@SecretaryLevine, “I know that we had discussed at US PATH the possibility of gender confirmation surgery for young people under 18 years of age. This could include top surgery for trans young men and top and bottom surgery for trans young women.”
Nadia Dowshen, “Hi Rachel, I'm not aware of existing literature but it is certainly happening. I think we've had more than 10 patients who have had chest surgery under 18 (as young as 15) and 1 bottom surgery (17).”
In 2017, @SecretaryLevine and Nadia Dowshen worked together to stop HB 1933, a bill that prohibited the use of taxpayer dollars to provide gender surgery or gender transitions services.
They were successful.
@PFIpolicy reported that, since 2015, the @PAHumanServices has spent over $16.7 million in tax dollars through PA Medical Assistance “on sex reassignment and transition related services and drugs..”
When explaining how it’s problematic to require parental notification when a minor seeks an abortion, Dr. Sarah Wood of @PolicyLabCHOP says advocacy is needed in,
“..expanding this idea of a PARENT, to being a trusted or supported adult, so that it’s not a tie of biology..”
A PolicyLab blog post published on 11/17/22 recommends repealing parental notification requirements for youth seeking abortion.
Last week, a mom’s testimony given at a @SASDinfo school board meeting about her daughters gender transition, went viral.
On Thursday, totally coincidently, their solicitor spoke about scenarios in which parents could be sued by the school board or their own children.
“Whether the board chooses to correct misinformation or not, if those inaccurate statements made by members of the public rise to the level of libel or slander, the board will evaluate whether it will take further action through the legal system.”
“...the district strongly frowns on doing so. As it’s still an intrusion and does not really belong as a part of public discussion. Moreover, airing someone’s private matters is potentially actionable.”
🚨At the start of 2021, CHOP Policylab was pushing a Covid-19 testing program in schools, saying it could help keep kids in school.
Public record emails show they were collaborating with the CDC, who wanted to study the student data and the psychological profiles of parents.
In early 2021, many students hadn’t been virtual for almost a year. Parents were desperate to get their kids in school.
Many didn’t want their kids to be a part of the testing program (or wear a mask) but they felt they HAD to participate because kids needed to be in school.
I’ve spoken to parents in districts that participated in this program and many have expressed that, even though testing was technically optional, they felt coerced into participating. They were also unaware that student testing data was being directly funneled to the CDC.
🧵Two Democrat members of the @CBSDSchools board argue males should be able to compete in girls sports, suggesting winning isn’t important for high school girls.
“Our philosophy is not about competition and who’s winning. It doesn’t seem to be the purpose of athletics at CBSD.”
As a former high school athlete, I’m horrified by these comments. It takes a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to be a female athlete. And yes, high school sports ARE a competition. And yes, our daughters deserve the chance to WIN and be rewarded for their hard work.
These Democrat school board members are arguing to erase DECADES of progress made by female athletes, openly telling our girls their achievements don’t matter, they don’t deserve safety, and they don’t deserve to win.
🚨Pennsylvania Democrat officials vote to COUNT ballots harvested from local nursing homes, while lone Republican opposes decision.
These ballots could determine the 142nd Legislative District race that could decide control of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Two weeks ago, Democrat Bob Harvie, the Bucks Commissioner and Board of elections chair, made a public statement citizens could drop off as many as 100 ballots.
PA law stated otherwise. I’ve called the BOE multiple times and no one could confirm that this is legal.
