A thread: As the plaudits roll in for the late William J. Kunkle, who led the 1978-1980 prosecution of John Wayne Gacy, let’s see how his lifelong victory tour turned that trial’s false narrative 1/21

into a decades-long perversion of justice that continues to hurt victims’ families. During Gacy’s trial, Kunkle refused to let 2/21

a living victim of kidnapping, rape, and torture by Gacy testify for the prosecution. Determined to tell his story,
the victim instead opted to testify for 3/21

*the defense*. How could a victim of brutal torture contribute to Gacy’s defense? Well, the victim 4/21

testified that there was at least one other person present while he was being tortured. An accomplice? A participant A voyeur? Kunkle didn’t 5/21

want the jury to know. There were, however, people identified during the prosecution’s own investigation of Gacy who were aware—at the very least—of 6/21

multiple murders. They weren’t immunized and they weren’t charged. Not only that, the prosecution promised 7/21

it would go easy on them. And they did. Their stories will likely never be told. Like Jeffery Epstein, John Wayne Gacy had a fat address book full of coded notations. 8/21

His sister told me he called it his “blackmail book.” Where is it? Do the entries have anyything to do with the 9/21

false narrative retailed by Cook County officials about John Wayne Gacy? Lead prosecutor William J. Kunkle dined 10/21

out on this false narrative and his successful prosecution of Gacy for the rest of his career. Do the contents of Gacy’s Epstein-like “blackmail book” 11/21

help explain the ongoing refusal of the @CCSO and the @CCSA to allow the examination of the historic Gacy case files? Those files reveal 12/21

the names of other potential Gacy victims. With @CCSO allegedly dedicated to identifying the last victims, why are the records hidden? Couldn’t 13/21

they help the victims’ families’ feel just a
little less terrible? But they also could reveal solid evidence that Gacy was producing commercial Child Abuse 14/21

Materials and how he was distributing them. His network included powerbrokers, politicians, and business people, many of whom are still alive. His 15/21

employees included associates of a child sex trafficking ring investigated by a U.S. Senate subcommittee. Who is protecting this evidence and why? Here’s another 16/21

question: Does the county call the
Gacy investigation “open” to give it cover to keep the case files from public view? If the case is ongoing, why does the 17/21

county refuse to thoroughly investigate locations identified as places where Gacy may have buried additional 18/21

victims? What else would an unobstructed examination of the case files reveal besides additional victims and locations? All I can say 19/21

for sure is that officials are still working overtime to prevent the public from understanding the complete truth about the Gacy case. Ask me how I know. And 20/21
