It was a transgender woman, not a drag queen, that stopped the shooting in Colorado.

I have so many emotions over this.

A trans woman kicked the disgusting shooter within an inch of his life.

Her ally was detained and she was then labeled a drag queen.

We keep us safe.

Cops didn't save LGBTQ+ patrons.

It was a trans woman and an ally.

I can't imagine the emotions going through this woman's head. I grieve for her trauma, but respect the fucking hell out of her.

She didn't run for cover. She saw a transphobe killing us and bashed back.

It was a transgender woman who did what over a hundred cops at Uvalde refused to do.

It was a trans woman who said "No, you will not hurt us anymore."

I hope that the community supports her every day for the rest of her life.

THIS is why we don't "drop the T" in LGBTQ.

The people spinning up hate against the transgender community make us out to be "unsafe," that you should fear being in a bathroom with us or fear us around kids.

It was a transgender woman who KEPT us safe.

Who kept the parents of kids safe there.

They say trans women should be kept out of schools.

But to me, it seems like we need more people like her in our schools.

The bravery to run AT a person with an assault weapon.

Remember this next time they spread fear around trans people and kids.

I hope that when this ghoul that shot the place up and thought trans people would be easy targets wakes up, I hope his face is permanently disfigured as he rots in prison every time he is allowed to use a mirror, he remembers the time a transgender woman kicked it in.

Remember that in a time when transgender people are portrayed as dangerous and scary and that our rights should be curtailed and trans women should be kicked out of bathroom.

It was a transgender woman who helped to kept patrons safe.
