I can't imagine the emotions going through this woman's head. I grieve for her trauma, but respect the fucking hell out of her.
She didn't run for cover. She saw a transphobe killing us and bashed back.
It was a transgender woman who did what over a hundred cops at Uvalde refused to do.
It was a trans woman who said "No, you will not hurt us anymore."
I hope that the community supports her every day for the rest of her life.
THIS is why we don't "drop the T" in LGBTQ.
The people spinning up hate against the transgender community make us out to be "unsafe," that you should fear being in a bathroom with us or fear us around kids.
It was a transgender woman who KEPT us safe.
Who kept the parents of kids safe there.
They say trans women should be kept out of schools.
But to me, it seems like we need more people like her in our schools.
The bravery to run AT a person with an assault weapon.
Remember this next time they spread fear around trans people and kids.
I hope that when this ghoul that shot the place up and thought trans people would be easy targets wakes up, I hope his face is permanently disfigured as he rots in prison every time he is allowed to use a mirror, he remembers the time a transgender woman kicked it in.
Remember that in a time when transgender people are portrayed as dangerous and scary and that our rights should be curtailed and trans women should be kicked out of bathroom.
It was a transgender woman who helped to kept patrons safe.
At this point Chaya Raichik (the person who runs Libs of TikTok) is openly gloating about instigating LGBTQ+ violence in the wake of the Colorado Springs mass shooting.
She lists herself as a "Stochastic terrorist" in her bio.
She isn't denying her role when confronted.
Here she is being confronted and responding sarcastically.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, as many have reported, she targeted LGBTQ+ family friendly drag events (which Club Q was going to have today for TDOR)
We don't know the motives of the Club Q shooter in Colorado Springs. But we do know the motives of those who stoke hatred against us. And we know that people like Chaya Raichik/Libs of TikTok have seen this and decided "Yes. This. More."
We have been screaming that we were building towards this. When we see a man with a molotov cocktail and maga hat trying to burn down a LGBTQ+ bar, we have been forced to look over our shoulders every day.
The images that are all a part of this ecosystem of violence stoked by online hate accounts and right wing pundits is burned into the minds of those who have continually cried for people to look out for our community.
Stochastic terror becomes real terror. Those dead in the LGBTQ+ bar Club Q only died hours ago. They were to have a drag brunch today.
Libs of TikTok is attacking another drag brunch in Colorado and a trans legislator only hours later.
Elon Musk let them stay on the platform.
This is sick beyond words. This is the entire point of what they are doing. This is why after Chaya Raichik tweets against Idaho Pride, we have a Uhaul full of Patriot Front terrorists pour out.
This is why hours after tweeting about a drag brunch in Ventura, proud boys fought to gain entry and likely harm those inside.
This was the end goal for Chaya Raichik and Matt Walsh and Chris Rufo.
This is what they WANT. They're doing the same thing to childrends hospitals.
It is no accident, that two anti-trans, "just asking questions" articles have been published at the start and end of Trans Visibility Week.
To be clear: There is peer reviewed scientific evidence that being trans is NOT a social contagion and fad.
Let's dive in.
This article is brought to you by the same people who wrote the provocative "children are lining up at gender clinics" article with the girl with an estrogen pill on her tongue in the style of old anti-ecstasy drug ads.
Before we get to critiques, let's look at author @RobinRespaut , lets take a look at the follows... Where is their information stream and media diet coming from?
Here are their most recent ones:
And of course. A who's who of the anti-trans political fight.
Everybody needs to drop what they are doing and watch this testimony from Stevie Beck. Stevie testified in response to their mother, who testified earlier this year against trans kids in Ohio HB454.
This is sheer bravery, and this will make an impact.
I want to say that Stevie didn't want to be an activist, they were forced into being one by republican politicians who exploited a mother who is in the grips of transphobia against her trans kid.
But Stevie decided to make an impact. And what an impact it was.
Ohio HB454 has been amended to allow gender transition "with a 2 year wait time," bans it if depression, anxiety, autism are present (even if dysphoria is the cause), and bans it "if it can cause genital atrophy/sterility" which HRT can do.
So.. still a full ban for trans youth.
Here is the ban on autism, depression, anxiety (even if these are caused by gender dysphoria)
Put your feet in the shoes of a gender dysphoric trans teen experiencing anxiety and depression due to oncoming puberty.
This bill requires the source of their depression to be "treated and stabilized" but the source is gender dysphoria, treated by gender affirming care!
