Zhongli has gone through dozens of books to prepare him assist his wife during his pregnancy.
But none of them warned him of how bizzare craving could be.
Especially when Ajax asked him to get a Sea Ganoderma milk mixed with sardines.
The man tried his best to not show his disgust to the soon-to-be mother of his child, as he served the drink and intrigued addition in his beloved favorite ceramics.
"Oh, thank you!" the ginger said happily while receiving the treats. "I hope I don't give you much trouble."
"Well, my love, I don't mind walking across the Inazuma city to found the one shop that could fulfill your craving." Ajax just smiled adorably at his husband as the Liyuen man pinched his cheek playfully.
The ginger quickly took a sip of that authentic drink.
Slurping the thick foamy liquids with joy in his heart and wide smile on his face. "Boy, this is exactly what I need."
Then, here comes the worst part.
The sardines from before were poured into the milk and mixed by a few stirs, changing the once blueish liquid into brown.
Zhongli couldn't hold himself to covered his gagging mouth and turned his head away, not once peeking at his wife who's enjoying the crunched sardine and even took the perfect peace into his mouth.
"Mmm..." The ginger hummed happily. "That's the best thing I've ever eat."
That's what he believed before the next craving came and made his husband has to made a the famous Lambad's Fish Roll and hot chocolate fudge at 3 am.
And by that, he had to made it by himself.
"Urgh," the former god looked at the fish he has to defrost with pure disgust.
He bit his lips to prevent himself vomiting as the fishy smell starting to danced and teasing his olfactory.
But, for the sake of his baby and his wife's happiness, he must do his best. He won't chicken out just by like that, where should he put his face if he's backing out?
So, to the last bit of his sanity, the former god present his beloveds request by an exquisite meal on bed. And all of his exhaustion from battling himself were paid thousand of times with Ajax's gleeful giggles and claps.
Well, at least his mission is accomplished.
Did it end yet?
Oh, how he wanted to say so as Ajax gave him another horror when he poured all of the hot fudge on top of his grilled fish and eat it like it's the best meal worth waiting for.
Zhongli turned his head to face to wall and hold his breath for his wife's crime.
He could feel his own stomach spinning and his throat throbbing when he sae Ajax licked the chocolate fugde on his fork and left nothing on it, adding more urge for the Liyuen man to free himself from this torture.
"Mmm, Archon, this is too good..."
He turned his head to his love who's now leaning at the headboard and munched the big smoke fish chunck with wide grin and radiant face that brightened up their dimmed room.
Was it that good?
Zhongli blinked himself when Ajax took another bite. Licking it, squirmed his body
with a happy grunts, and sighed with satisfaction when he swallowed the food on his mouth.
The good could feel his mouth watered by that act. His disgust slowly turned into curiosity as now Ajax squeezed the lemon on top of the chocolate smoke fish and took a big chunck
into his mouth.
He then walked hesitantly to the bed and sat himself beside his wife with eyes locked on the food his wife's ruined beautifully. And just after Ajax cut the last chunk in two, the dragon decided to betray himself to the sake of science.
"Hey!"
Ajax yelled at him when the dragon stole one of his last bite. His husband just ignored his protest, munching the food in his mouth, and frowned when the odd taste punched him in his gut.
".... Give me another piece, won't you."
"Wha--you crazy! That's mine!!"
"I don't want to cook it again, give it to me."
"I don't wanna!!" and thus, the night ended with Ajax took the last bite before the husband stole it again and rolled himself with the entire blanket.
And because of that, whenever Ajax had his intriguing craving,
Zhongli will make sure to serve two portions for his wife and himself.
To that, he wrote all of his experiences and recipes in a pregnancy journal that he's planning to give to his wife on their eighth anniversary.
It might be fun to read all of these memories together.
Well, that's what he thought.

"Wanna see them closer?" Ajax asked.

"Baobei?"
Zhongli dropped his spear when he saw red lines flowed on Ajax's legs.
The ginger's standing before him, with two water blades on his hands, a broken golden shield around him, and a sword went through his spine.
His golden eyes stared blankly at the attacker who's buried half of his sword into his lover's stomach diagonally, making the pointy tip peeking through the ginger's coat.
Zhongli couldn't think anything but his Ajax.
Yet, his limbs were frozen by the shock.
"Argh!" Ajax screamed as the culprit stabbed him again as chantings roamed around the Mingyun Village, the place they now stand. People from all ages came and surrounding the scene with torches on their other hand.
They chanted: "Usurper! Usurper! Kill that damned usurper!"
